Life is too short to drink bad wine
This strange spider, little more than a centimetre across showed its spectacular abdomen as it clambered about on the sandstone rock-face.
Through the spider’s web
The wind whispers gentle songs
To the new born day

Version 2
Through the spider’s web
The wind strumming lullabies

Ronovan Writes Monday Haiku Prompts for the week this week are Sing and Day
This is a photograph I took of a peculiar spider that was on a rock wall at a quarry where we performed a Christmas Concert on the weekend.
As most people know, Perth is rife with critters that crawl, bite and sting but I have never seen this particular spider before. Perhaps I have discovered a rare new species!!!
Fills the heart with compassion and appreciation for all life. Beautifully done

I’m partial to the first one, lest the strumming of the wind tear the spider’s web to shreds!

These are both beautiful, though I am more partial to the second one. Nice write!

I love both the Haiku but the ‘wind strumming lullabies’ is my favourite. What an odd looking little spider, he is a bit too spiky for my liking!
