So stark and dreary, this day of judges be,
with scarred scalawags limp in somber defeat.
Are they still useful, or just dried up debris?
Do they wish to win by revolting deceit?
The fragrant smell of a hard-fought victory.
Winds wave a once more respected Old Glory.
As the free people of the world cheer and sing,
Wistful crusaders rest and binge The West Wing.

Difficult getting a rhythm but that’s because I attempted all the challenges/prompts. But I did pick the right one to use them all in. 🙂

I like the poems a lot for getting all the other prompts in.

The tattered Trump Falange is truly West Winging it…into a deserved oblivion…you’ve captured the pulse of it, Ron…

You ever write a poem and you think you just got by and barely completetd it, then you see a comment and reread it? It’s good to get a person’s thought of it and makes you rethink it even if just a little. Then you think,” I didn’t do half bad after all.”

I enjoyed it. The original took a little under 6 but the polishing took a bit longer. 🙂 I hope to play again soon.
