10 Fun Facts About Me or Things You’ve Never Asked For But I’m Telling You Anyway
I like to know things about the people behind the words, the little things that don’t show up in Bios and Abouts. Thus, I decided to share a few of mine.
#10 I love to cook. If I can get my hands on it I will try to make something out of it. It will taste good just sometimes you may not want to look at it or ask what’s in it.
#09 Continuing on a theme for a moment, I believe anything can be eaten as a sandwich. It’s a guy thing.
#08 I like to sit in the shade while eating lunch and watch and listen to the birds.
#07 The sound and feel of the ocean at night is the best thing ever to me.
#06 I can wiggle my right ear.
#05 I once held a college weight lifting record which I am sure has long since been broken.
#04 I was born while my parents were traveling and picking oranges to earn money. So I always tell people I was born of migrant fruit pickers.
#03 The first serious writing I ever read was The Chronicles of Narnia, all of them, by C.S. Lewis when I was 11.
#02 Since an accident in the summer of 2013 my brain has not been able to shut down and rest thus I tend to get little sleep and have to try very hard to rein in my writing.
#01 I am part of a Three Degrees of Elvis Presley. (Like Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon) Thus I am also part of a Four Degrees of Ernest Hemingway or Marlon Brando or The Beatles or even Richard Nixon.
Bonus: I am part of a Two Degrees of Jerry Lee Lewis, the Rock And Roll legend. My much, much older cousin way, way back was one of his guitarists.
I hope you enjoyed and if you are someone I’ve exchanged a few comments with you are now included in a Degrees of Elvis, Brando, and Hemingway.
10, 9, 8, & 7 are all fun facts I can identify with. #3, well, I didn’t do that until my third child was born, but loved it (now reading it with the middles..that’s my boys) & this one my oldest, who is 11, is now devouring as she has devoured others before….the rest, well, even though I cannot wiggle this right ear of mine and my lifting consists of, well, 11 year olds, I can still smile and connect with your experiences. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.

Thanks you for the comments. A mother can do all things. 🙂 I think it gives them an advantage in writing as well. 😉

Thanks, Ronovan. Can I call you Ron? That’s probably less odd than Van…although, who am I to judge?! Being a mother is pretty amazing and intimidating. The book that I’ve written is one that I hope will give them insight into their mom’s mind but also into their own…to know they are beautiful from the inside out and to share the love they have to give while cherishing that of others. Ooo! Sorry! A Rant! 🙂

Hey I just read this. Hmm interesting facts 🙂 Though I have no idea what is 6 degress of Kevin bacon. I know it’s a game but I don’t get it.

🙂 The idea is that Kevin Bacon has been in so many movies and big movies that you can connect him to any other actor through first someone he acted with then moving on from that actor to the other actor within six steps. 🙂

Oh now i get it. Hmm seems interesting. Though I have kind of hated him after that movie-was it hollow man? He played the villain.

I believe that was it. 🙂 But that just shows how good of an actor he is. 🙂

This is way cool and the first time I have seen something like this. I agree with #10, though I experiment with spices more then anything. #8 and 7 I agree with. When I can get away with it I do it, even with the kids in tow. #6 is just awesome and I am little jealous but not much, it makes you unique. I am going to enjoy reading your blog.

Thank you! #6 can be annoying when you start doing it because then you kind of can’t stop doing it for a short time afterwards. I feel like a trick horse counting when someone wants me to do it.

I am totally with you on number 7 and I wish I could sit by the ocean and write forever. 🙂 I also love Narnia. I write and blog to get out my feelings and I can’t always sleep at night, with chronic pain, which leaves the whole internet available for hours of restless, would otherwise be board, surfing the web and finding blogs like yours. Love your list (who doesn’t love a good list) and may consider something like it for my blog, but first need to finish my About Page. Oops! 🙂

I did go look at your about page after your comment on my WordPress Blog & Twitter article. 🙂 The Chronic Pain part of my Fibromyalgia makes it possible for me to have all the content I do including this list and an about page.

There must be hoardes of us out there in the blogosphere tap tapping all through the evil hours of the night. My brother has fibromyalgia and it’s really debiliated him although he’s a musician and apparently does some amazing things behind his closed door. My mum told me that a doctor friend of hers said that call fibro the “dust bin” disease I think because it falls in the too hard basket. If you’ve read my about, you’ll see I have a muscle-wasting auto-immune disease. It’s technically worse that the fibro but has much better treatment so that even though I glow in the dark I can get on with things most of the time. I’ve become too noctural lately myself. I’ve been enjoying your blog and I really like the sound of the 10 things you listed and am touched to meet you. xx Rowena
