Naughty Bulbs – a Dodoitsu Poem

Dodoitsu form of Japanese poetry came into being toward the end of the Edo Period which ended in 1868. Its themes are love, work, and usually comical.

It’s a syllabic constraint poetic form.

Daffodils do their bulb dance

in springtime to be naughty.

Scintillating complexions,

stupefy oglers.
