Best shows ever, thanks for the reminder

That is such a sad opening song. Also the actual song it is, “Suicide is Painless.” Here is the song with the lyrics:

I know. But being wordless Wednesday, I just went with the TV intro and close. Also I was wondering how many people knew the real name of the song. Not many do. 🙂

oh yeah, lol, being wordless Wednesday you would choose the wordless version. I didn’t think about that for some reason.
I found out by accident. I had listened to Marilyn Manson’s version, because I kind liked his songs now and again, and even from him the song was surprising, because I haven’t really heard suicide songs much.
But then that this song was featured on daily tv in the opening of MASH was even more surprising to me. I think it fits the show well though. And overall I really like that song.

It is a surprise when you look and see the title, and then if you’ve watched the show through the years, especially the last episode it really takes on a new life of its own.
Yeah, Marilyn Manson had some good moments, but I just never got totally caught up in everything. I think he went for the shock image a bit too much and a lot of his actual talent has been overlooked.

One of the best shows ever. (And I’m not sure how many people know the name of the opening song, but I do. Hearing it always tugs at my heart.)

I think that this is my favorite show EVER. In the 80’s I used to watch reruns 3 times a day, I can still remember the times (5:00, 5:30, and 7:00). And I would watch the new ones too, as they came out.
