Time for a change.

Time for a change, don’t you think? As some of you may have noticed, I don’t really blog much these days, months, or however long it’s been. I guess I just haven’t really known what I’ve wanted to do, among other reasons. Sometimes you have to make choices between things, and blogging comes up second or last.

That being said, I’ve decided to focus, or continue to focus on positive things. What you’ll see from me are articles about how to make your life more positive and hopefully more satisfying. No one has all the answers but with more answers given, we can at least have something to choose from.

At the same time, I’ll be helping myself focus on things I need to. Also I tend not to post about my writing here as a courtesy, but you know, it is my blog, so if I want to share a chapter of something, I’ll share it.

It’s funny how we as bloggers trend away from what makes us happy about blogging and instead do things to please others. Eventually that causes burnout or a malaise about the whole thing. That happens in a great may parts of our lives.

I’ll be speaking about that this week, so see you on Monday, and start today enjoying your week ahead by saying no to something instead of always saying yes.

If you wonder what I’ve been doing with all my time lately, check out LitWorldInterviews.com, my book review and interview site. I’ve been reading a lot and interviewing a lot, all while getting my coming of age/romance ready to shop around to agents.

Much Respect

  3. Saying ‘No’ to things – yep, that can be difficult. Sometimes I feel I need at least three of me to do all the things I want to do.
I’d love to see some of your chapters here on this blog – looking forward to reading them.

  4. “A change is as good as a rest!” Lovely Ron! I think we can all identify… when a pleasurable activity becomes a chore because of the pressure, you need to have a change. However you decide to go, we’ll all be here 😊

  6. The thing is, if you are not a professional blogger – i.e. you don’t get paid for it – you need to do it for reasons that make you happy. I think blogging is an excellent tool for personal growth and keeping yourself positive and motivated in your everyday endeavors. At the end of the day, you are spot on in saying it is your blog. What we as bloggers sometimes forget is, that there are people who really are interested in things that you may normally classify as uninteresting. Blogging is much about your personal journey as it is about other things. When it comes to writing how we develop as writers and get our books out there is also what makes up part of our personal journey.

  7. When I didn’t see your Friday writing prompt I became concerned. Glad you are alright. Nice to see you again and you have to do what makes you happy. I struggle with mine occasionally. Good luck in your future endeavors.

  8. Good for you. I’ve learned that the longer we blog, the more our blogs can change (which, sometimes, is not what we intended). You always told me to write about what I enjoy writing about most…and it works. As Chris said, Blogging needs to be all about fun and enjoyment. It should never become a burden, stressful or ever make us feel guilty.

  9. Good for you sir! You deserve a change and I can well understand how easy it is to let the blog become bigger than Ben Hur! You have enjoy doing what you do! La vie est trop courte pour écrire du posts fastidieux. (Life is to short to write tedious posts) 🙂 Will still love to read what you do post however! Best wishes to the “New You!” TJ

  10. Positivity is very important and reading about it especially now during election season, is refreshing. When I changed my blog’s focus to mostly be about leisure, my passion, it was much easier to write. Good luck with your new focus!
