Once upon a time, you believed you mattered.
That time and space and even seas were shattered.
The space lying between the atoms, a place to dream of better.
All the world weariness and pain soothed letter by letter.
Perils abound around a personal Eden.
The clock slips and the barrier beaten.
A question of doubt, a global event?
Some say a detriment heaven sent.
The atoms collide, the spaces closed.
The seas crashed, time and space… did implode.
Lying broken in a tangled mess, you wonder if you had given your best.
If you did, then what now?
How?
Days go by, the hours flow.
The months pass, the years grow.
Time heals? But does it now?
Or does it hide, cover, and disavow.?
Each disaster must learn how to make a deal.
Even if the contract to carry on is not real.

People confuse what acceptance is. You can accept a handshake. You can accept an apology. You can accept a situation. Acceptance doesn’t mean participation in or of. There are some who accept that the past holiday of Thanksgiving exist, but they don’t participate or agree with why it exists. This is in part because they don’t know fully what the history is.
Christmas is another accept and decline event.
Of course the US has a big accept and decline event that just occurred but it’s something we must accept. We don’t need to agree with it. We don’t need to actively cheer and hoorah for it. But what we should do is hope and pray and cross our fingers, toes, and eyes that all will go well and be ever vigilant.

I wrote this long post about US politics and the Presidential election and the lack of Calm we have here in the US. I deleted it. Why? Because I need to be calm and politics does not make me calm.
We need calm to make the right decisions, to be healthy, and to enjoy life. Once things happen, your reaction is on you. Calm or Chaos? I choose calm. It’s difficult at times, but I keep doing so… every few minutes that chaos shows up.
Be Calm and Thankful this week. Thanksgiving here in the US is about being thankful for being alive and with those we love, if we are able to.

I have to tell you that people not thinking is a huge stress factor of mine. With politics… it’s a HUGE pet peeve. I’m not sure why people don’t read information and come to their own conclusions instead of being spoon fed. But maybe that’s just the History Teacher in me and knowing you should ALWAYS check at least twice before leaping. Sometimes you still have to leap but at least you do so knowing what you might be leaping into. And it’s not just politics. People will believe anything these days if it’s in a well done meme.
