Saw this earlier in the week and made note to share it with everyone on Female Focus Friday here on RonovanWrites. The lady has a hilarious style and some real advice men should take. Honestly guys, if your love life is suffering read this and maybe it will give you some ideas. @collegeladyblog
I hated Shades. I couldn’t read it. It was plotless drivel for me.

🙂 I have heard a lot of people say similar. I however thought men might find this as an alternative to whatever they’ve been trying that has not worked so far.
Been Missing one of my Favorite Ladies of Late. Nice to see you.

I read all 3 Shades books because at some point during the first book, I wanted to know what had happened to him and why he chose the lifestyle. I was warned not to read the books if I did not have a boyfriend but my life is pretty demanding with my daughter so, it wasn’t a problem for me. That part of it was never the focus for me. Christian Grey was introduced to the lifestyle by a friend of his mother (unbeknownst to her) as a solution to a problem brought about by his traumatic childhood. It was not introduced to him to spice up his sex life.
Because of the way book 1 ended, and so abruptly as well, I doubt the sex alone will sustain viewers until the 2nd part of the movie trilogy is released, unless the movie is quite different from the book (1). I am always hesitant about seeing movies based on books. It doesn’t seem to me that motives and intentions can be flushed out as well in movies as they can be in books.

Having no real idea about the book itself or even the movie except for the vague innuendo things people mention, I thank you for this. Very interesting.

To get beyond the BDSM and ‘baggage’, perhaps we can find a man seeking redemption and a woman discovering her sexuality… and the book’s message for men is perhaps to get to a woman’s mind first… 🙂 Ron, you might have to read the book if you are to post this…ha! ha!
