Now you know.

One of my favorites back when I knew how to write what I called lyrical poetry…or poetry of any kind at all.

Slippin’ into sideways single again, thinkin’ I know what’s the best thing for my friend.
Never seein’ I’m the one playin’ a fool, keep trippin’ into a funk deeper than a city cesspool.
Do you ever think you want your own time, oh but you keep missin’ when she’s out of your line?
Then you look into her eyes, her heart and you play it off like a chump, thinkin’ you’re so cool.

Love’s not a playground for the child or the immature clown painted on society’s scripted scene.
Expectations of your world can bring you down to your knees and shatter your deepest dreams.
Where do you go from here when all you know is the beaten down lovers lost melody hit machine?
Words rhymed and bought to break your heart and rip your pockets for every cent at the seams?

Fill your heart, feel the steam.

Slippin’ into sideways single again, thinkin’ I know what’s the best thing for my friend.

Do you ever think you want your own time, oh but you keep missin’ when she’s out of your line?

Love’s not a playground for the child or the immature clown painted on society’s scripted scene.
Expectations of your world can bring you down to your knees and shatter your deepest dreams.
Where do you go from here when all you know is the beaten down lovers lost melody hit machine?
Words rhymed and bought to break your heart and rip your pockets for every cent at the seams?

Fill your heart, feel the steam.
Let it flow,
She’s in your bloodstream,
You’re not alone,
Now you know.

Feel her love, feel her deep,
Intense and low,
You’re denied peace in sleep,
You’re addicted,
And now you know.

Now you know.

Oh. Oh.

Slippin’ sheets across sensations of last nights slumbered distress.
Comin’ to an end of your sweet dreams of silk and a whole lot less.
Is it a wonder you haven’t been in the pop culture extreme obscene?
Lipstick and perfumed skinned is all you need confess.

Tender kisses with restrained passion desires.
Pressin’ into her flesh, flames the fires hotter and hotter.
Openin’ my eyes will send my despair even higher.
Seconds slip by, throat’s so dry, needin’ her lips like life givin’ water.

Fill your heart, feel the steam.
Let it flow,
She’s in your bloodstream.
You’re not alone,
Now you know.

Feel her love, feel her deep,
Intense and low,
You’re denied peace in sleep,
You’re addicted,
And now you know.

Now you know.

Oh. Oh.

Givin’ in to the spin of this need.
Hatin’ the pain to concede,
The passing time, I need to heed,
When this love is so high like the tide,
Of a raging sea.

Fill your heart, feel the steam.
Let it flow,
She’s in your bloodstream.
You’re not alone,
Now you know.

Feel her love, feel her deep,
Intense and low,
You’re denied peace in sleep,
You’re addicted,
And now you know.

Now you know.

Worth it.

Worth it, a poem image.

Long distance lovers with a secret romance
Some say it’s not worth givin’ a chance
But no one knows until that first dance
And are captured in their lover’s glance
And find it’s worth it

Dreams are chasin’ after a crazy moon
Feel a deep ache higher than the tallest sand dune
Wind sounding the ocean lovers’ tune
While we drift in bed, till well past noon
It’s all worth it
So worth it

Seven sensual sins under a sacred sun
Makin’ love till you say we’re done
You know I know I’m the fortunate one
And I know it’s not all about having fun
And you’re worth it.

Mirrored ceilings and satin sheets
Body oils and massages way down deep
Songs softly sung while I’m losin’ sleep
But I know true love doesn’t come cheap
You know you’re worth it

These are the things I keep dreamin’ about
What they are you would have no doubt
With your tongue so lovingly in my mouth
I can’t seem to make the words come out
And it’s worth it.

Say you love me and I’ll be on my way
Settle scores and start a brand new day
Be the one you’ve been waitin’ hear say
You’re worth it
And I’ll be worth it

Why Me or Why Not?

Why me?

Why among all your admirers, me?

Why with all that you have to offer, me?

No, I do not say, that I believe you think of me in such a way.

A such a way, that makes others ignored throughout your day.

I know I offer you love, and affection, as well respect and acceptance with no rejection.

With all of your perfection, why me?

I dare not accept it into my heart, for I have always had it ripped apart.

With all of your offers, why me?

In the nights I hold your attention so tight, hoping and praying that I am right.

With so many so immediate, why me?

Why?

Throughout life we are fortunate to experience one love. In rare moments we might even find another when one ends. Some are from unique and far flung situations, destinations. Do we deny these? What do we do? What do you do when faced with that unbelievable moment with that unbelievable person that can only be a dream? What it if it a love that can only exist from afar? With life through electric vines relationships are different now. Do you accept and have a love that may or may not ever be touched? Do you deny it and move forward in misery with that illness growing inside of you like a thing eating you alive?
This is a universal writing, inspired by universal forces.
