4 women meet Pirates who may or may not stand in their way of destiny. 6 Books on Sale for $6.

Ivory Shepard and her cousins enter a life of challenges as they begin a journey that leads to piracy, danger, revenge, death, and romance.

As Ivory becomes the Pirate Queen The Razor, the cousins meet men who bring romance to their lives for the first time. There is a man of noble birth who defies the meaning of the word pirate. A man who is betrayed and exiled. A man who is as mysterious as the night. And a man who brings a gentle romance not thought to exist among pirates.

Ivory, Miranda, Cassandra, and Keara are more than a match for the men that enter their lives, both good and evil. Through all of their adventures Ivory’s cousins know one thing, that as long as Ivory breathes, she will make certain they are all safe, and any cost. Even if it costs her heart or her soul.

I guarantee you will enjoy these books. Amber Wake has a slightly different tone than the others as it is about Gabriel Wallace and his journey to becoming the pirate captain Rasmus Bergman.

.99 per book at Amazon for your Kindle, with over 2000 pages combined.

My personal favorites are of course Amber Wake, since I did co-author it with PS Bartlett, and The Blue Diamond. Diamond was the first of the series written and just begged for a series of back stories because there was so much in the developed world Bartlett had created. The other 5 books successfully explain all you need to know.

Reviews for Amber Wake

“Amber Wake: Gabriel Falling is a ‘not-your-typical’ pirate story. And that’s a good thing for this reader who normally reads science fiction and thrillers. The authors did an excellent job maintaining the appropriate language for the early 18th Century. Historical events are well-researched. And the cast of characters are believable and well-rounded. This novel has some of the best action scenes I have read in a long time (yes, even better than some thrillers I’ve recently read). They left me breathless and in anticipation. There are some endearing moments throughout the novel involving Wallace, Miles Jacob and a young boy named Adam. Through those scenes, you learn about the character of Gabriel Wallace, what makes him the man he is and how loyal his friends really are. The story is authentic, engaging and suspenseful. Highly recommended.” Ravyne 5 Stars

The story itself could easily be turned into a movie. The authors give you an action packed scene after the next. You can hardly wait to turn the page. This story tied in well with the other books in this series, all, which I’ve also read – and think, are highly recommendable. The difference between this book and the other’s being that this one is set in a man’s world, told by a man. Women do not play much of a vital role in this story except for making the life of our hero difficult.Sarina 5 stars

I always love a good back story, especially when it comes to pirates. There are so many different and fascinating reasons that these people, historic and fictional, choose to turn their backs on their homelands and raise the black flag. I learned about the reason Gabriel Wallace went rogue in P.S. Bartlett’s other book, Jaded Tides, and knowing what a levelheaded and goodhearted, man that cutthroat pirate was at his core, I just knew that Gabriel Falling was going to be an epic tale. It was. Amber Wake is a non stop adventure tale, full of colorful characters, and gripping action. Gabriel (aka, Rasmus Bergman) keeps us on our toes with the seemingly uncertain plans that he is obsessively dedicated to. Miles Jacobs brings loyalty you can count on, but not without a pain in the arse, and Maddox Carbonale lightens the mood with his nonchalant attitude, and unpredictable actions.” Author/Artist Cristi Taijeron 5 Stars

This novel is very slow through the first few chapters, the dialogue is a little long and drawn out at first but as the authors settle in the writing becomes a lot smoother, making the story a lot more interesting and the flow a lot smoother. The story is written in the POV of a pirate named Rasmus Bergman and I found his characterization to be right on spot. The world building was magnificent, it was as if you were sitting next to the characters in each scene. I need this when reading anything fiction to make the story believable.
The well-written lines and plot really grab you and tug you in and you are constantly flipping the pages to see what happens next. If you are looking for an intriguing fast-paced read this is definitely for you.

This post originally appears on my co-authors PS Bartlett’s Blog. Yes, I am just too lazy to make one of my own, and well…why should I when this one looks so good. I did modify it so it didn’t look like I was doing the talking. I can’t believe she’s nuts enough to let the current 6 books go for just $5.00.

Please read the first paragraph at least. It’s from me.

Ivory Dawn is a novella introducing the main heroine, and titular character of Ivory Shepard, her cousins, the life they came from, and the life they throw themselves headfirst into.

Ivory Dawn Cover 2019

Amber Wake: Gabriel Falling introduces Gabriel Wallace as he transforms from life as a vaunted Captain in Her Majesty’s Royal Navy to becoming the man who will be known as Big Red Rasmus Bergman, a man that plays a pivotal part in the Razor fulfilling her dreams.

Amber Wake: Gabriel Falling Cover 2019Demons & Pearls continues with Ivory and her cousins finding themselves in the middle of the pirate world and doing whatever it takes to prove they are not the property of any man.

Demons & Pearls Cover 2019Jaded Tides is an exciting story of Ivory and her cousins growing ever closer to their dreams becoming reality, but at what cost.

Jaded Tides Cover 2019Beyond The Ruby Moon is the NEW book to be released soon. I’m reading it now and am so happy to finally get to see what happens between Ivory and Razz, and what’s going on with her cousins, three beautiful and intelligent women proving they are just as wily in the ways of the Caribbean as their protective cousin.

Beyond The Ruby Moon Cover 2019The Blue Diamond The Razor’s Edge was the first book about Ivory that PS Bartlett wrote. I read it and was immediately hooked, so much so that I jumped on her bandwagon and coattails and signed on to co-write Amber Wake, and an as yet to be completed or named possible sequel. It seems the blonde haired author lady and I both got it in our blood to start writing the pirate life again at the same time. It had to be a sign, and we know any successful pirate knows how to read the signs.

BOOK REVIEWING & @DanMcNeil888 The Judas Apocalypse

You know, when I first got my hands on The Judas Apocalypse it was just after interviewing the author Dan McNeil.Dan McNeil Author That was about a year ago. But with writing my own books, having books lined up to review, authors to interview, and all of that kind of stuff, I just now got around to having a chance to read it. Three cheers for my internet being a pain, right?

Why now? I’ll be honest, I wanted a good story to read.

You see, when you do book reviews you run in to some:

  • Pretty bad writing
  • Okay writing
  • Good writing
  • Great writing
  • Oh-My-Word-I-wish-I-could-write-like-this-person writing

And every single one of those is based on my opinion. Albeit an educated opinion at this point. I’ll tell you, I’ve read a lot submissions lately and they haven’t made it to the book review section of LitWorldInterviews.com for various reasons.

  • I give each author the option of saying no to a review being published if the rating is less than a 3.
  • I’m not a person to tear down a writer. (I’m a writer. I have a novel coming out soon and I don’t want to be torn down either. I know how it feels to have the love of your life ripped apart by those unfeeling, heartless demons.)
  • I read a book for story and only begin to take away from a book rating if writing gets in the way of the story.

When I read a book I in fact look at the story first and foremost. If the story is working for me and the writing isn’t getting in the way, then things are fine. If the writing is to the point of pulling me out of the story, then we have a problem.

Yes, I do read the books I get sent. Sometimes you just don’t want to know the results. I am an amazingly honest reviewer. You can ask anyone I’ve reviewed. Ask the friends I’ve reviewed. Ask the authors that work on the LWI site that I’ve reviewed.

After the pain of some recent books I’ve read, agreed to and voluntary reads, I wanted a good story with good writing. I’m not saying the stories are not great story ideas, it’s just that some people need patience and some writing coaching to get that great story idea to the level it deserves. It’s even been suggested I do some writing coaching. Yeah, some people have insane ideas. But I’m actually better at helping others than I am at helping my own writing. Aren’t we all?

After a few of those painful reads I needed a go-to writer that I felt confident would deliver a good read, with at least good writing. I’m not telling you that The Judas Apocalypse is not great writing . . . yet. I’m telling you I was looking for a good story, from a good writer. And I knew Dan McNeil would deliver that from all that I knew about him.

I had two books of his to pick from and I picked this one. Oddly it turned out that I was very qualified in many ways to be the reviewer of The Judas Apocalypse.

  • I am a World History expert, or so I have been told as a teacher of it.
  • I have been deeply involved in religious studies and apologetics.
  • I also have written a draft of a YA book including information and historical characters Dan McNeil mentions on his book.
  • Meaning I have researched a lot of things Dan included in his book. And I mean a lot.

In other words, I could tell if he was phoning in his story or if he actually put work into it.

I’ll be putting out the review soon on LitWorldInterviews.com. You can find out if he let me down or not. Remember, I’m painfully honest.

Cover Reveal of my debut novel-Amber Wake: Gabriel Falling with @PSBartlett.

As promised yesterday in the guest post by Award Winning Author P.S. Bartlett, here is the book cover for my debut novel tentatively scheduled for a release date around Christmas. What’s it about?

Before there could be The Blue Diamond, before there could be Demons & Pearls, before Ivory Shepard could become the pirate known as The Razor, there had to be Rasmus. Amber Wake: Gabriel Falling by P.S. Bartlett & Ronovan Hester.

Amber Wake: Gabriel Falling by P.S. Bartlett and Ronovan HesterTo read about the man Ivory Shepard knows as Rasmus, read Demons & Pearls, and  pre-order Jaded Tides  for Kindle or Paperback  Monday, Oct. 5, 2015. Then you will be amazed at at this man’s journey, and perhaps destiny?

More to come about Amber Wakes: Gabriel Falling over the coming weeks and how I need your help in some decision making. You’ll find out more about what the book is about, the process of how it came about, and the research that went into its writing.
