How to Write a Haiku in English Form
A haiku for this week’s Haiku Poetry Prompt Challenge of LEAF(leaves) & Mound(s).

Sometimes you look at what you have and count yourself very fortunate and blessed. But have you ever had a person in your life, or known a person that liked to remind a person just how great something is or how lucky they are? You almost want to reach over and smack ’em. Almost. Then you think about it and realize the other person in the scenario is old enough to know what’s going on and either likes it, doesn’t care, or will deal with it at some point.
Do you like to harp on things for the sake of your own glory? Especially things that are so clear to the one you are united with? Harp to the point of them no longer perhaps feeling so luminous about your presence in their life? Maybe that wonderful thing they loved then becomes something they just can’t stand.
My contribution to my challenge this week.

TJ Paris is first in this week with a great Haiku as well as his usual great photography on display.
A breeze blew through the gates of this temple and played with the silken flags. I am not sure if I was supposed to be there but it was too picturesque not to take a photo.
Ronovan writes promts this week are free and think. A lovely pairing indeed!

There are times in my life I die a little, but then you smile.
You never try to be something other than you.
I long so much to spend time with you for just a little while.
There are rivers, forests and a continent between us.
I would walk through them all if I thought the moment was right.
Do my questions, my thoughts, my sharings cause a fuss?
Please tell me now before I continue too much and send you into a flight.
