You may notice something odd about the blog. Like no sidebars. Well the sidebars have gone whacky so I removed them for now until the laptop comes in. I did some cosmetic changes for the time being. Hope you enjoy.

TJ Paris is in first this week from Western Australia. Poor man was waiting for the challenge to come out and found out it was going at a random time today. 🙂
Life is too short to drink bad wine
Hermes soars atop the column on the Place de la Bastille.
Ronovan’s of Ronovan Writes has offered this week’s prompts of Rise and Save.
One of the most enduring symbolic actions of the French Revolution was the storming of the Bastille. The people of Paris nobly liberating the tragically prisoners trapped in this vile and noisome fortress. So complete was the destruction of this symbol of Royal oppression that not a stone remains. Then in July 1830 the Parisians again got all revolutionary and this column was put on top of the location where the Bastille stood to show the Parisians were revolting (again!).
How I can picture the iron gates of the Bastille being torn down and the poor, wrongly imprisoned scions of the people flooding out in their hundreds while the vile Aristos shuddered (quite rightly) in their gilded palaces.

Rise to now’s indignities to save the future.

There will be a recap this week, it’s just taking me some time on this tablet to do something worth putting out.
The challenge on Monday will be out at a random time in order for anyone to be the first to enter. And I thought for this week it would be kind of fun.
The hope is I will have a laptop by next week. In addition to the funds raised two bloggers have been in touch with Florence to make up the difference for a very nice laptop. My last one I took care of and lasted 7 years.
I still don’t know why people are doing this but it is appreciated more than any of you can know.
Much Respect

Very wise.
“You’re such a liar.”
“Shut up. You have NO idea what you’re talking about.” I didn’t care if he did or not, but I wasn’t in the mood for anything he had to say right now.
There was only one problem with that. “That empty hole in your chest, the cold-hollow ache in your bones like a cancer…you know what it is.” He just never knows when to shut up and didn’t give a crap about my moods.
“This is none of your business, so for the last time shut it.” If I clenched my teeth any tighter they would break.
“This is just as much mine as yours. I’m just not the coward here who’s afraid to admit the truth.” I hated him. I wasn’t a coward, I just didn’t want to hurt again. I didn’t want the tidal waves to come pounding back in where her love had left from me.
“Ever think about what-ifs?” I didn’t expect or wait for an answer. “I live on them. They are my protein that keep me alive.”
“I know that, Walker. You think that’s news to me? You think I don’t know about your every feeling of dread at every wasted second without her?” If anyone would know it was him.
“I’m tired. This tornado of emotions I live, not knowing when the next moment will be…it hurts.”
“Which hurts worse…pain of never knowing or the pain after the joy of having her for those few brief moments? That is what you need to decide.”
“I already made my decision. Don’t you know that, Mr. Know-Everything? Would I be like this if I hadn’t? Do you think I could live without her…even if having her is for only minutes at a time?” I hated him. Why couldn’t he let me wallow in my self pity?
“I know all of that. I’m here to keep reminding you of it…lest you forget it.” I slammed the notebook shut.
READ ME NOW!
I stared at those words on the cover–words I had been reading for years.
Gripping the notebook in both hands, I tore it in half with only the binding keeping the two pieces together. The small trash can beside the hotel bed rattled and rocked from the fall of the notebook into it.
I didn’t want to read any more.

Just 24 hours from now and I’ll know what kind of laptop I can get. Not asking you to donate, just pleased Florence set this up behind my back. 😊
Sixty percent (60%) of goal reached in this campaign to help Ronovan. I want to give everyone who contributed and/or assisted a gigantic ‘Thank You’.
One more day before this campaign ends (yep, finishes end of Tuesday, 11 August) so you may still spread the word!
As the post title suggests, a little over half-baked crumble. So, any amount helps by clicking on this link.
Not sure what I am talking about…? Keep reading. 🙂
Namaste!

Ronovan wanted everyone to know that he was surprisedby the campaign but not the generosity so far. Also he wanted it known neither the target amount nor any amount was his idea. Anything given will be more than appreciated.

I guess without a computer I could become a full-time reblogger but I don’t think would keep me going. However, this article from Suzie helps and I wanted to share. I wanted to say her writing style has changed slightly since her career change and there is more joy in my friend from England and her writing has developed into something richer and even more relatable than it was, if that is possible. I love the photos of London and her real description of a trip. I felt as though I were there.
The Bloke and I have very different opinions on what constitutes as ‘a holiday.’ Give me a beach, a pool, a bar and glorious sunshine and I’m happy. He needs things to see and do. I like to adopt my inner vegetable and lay like broccoli, while he’s a ‘get up and go’ type.
We both, however, have a common love of London, and we try and visit as many times a year as we possibly can. Booked in advance, train tickets are very cheap and the journey is only an hour and a half, so getting there relatively easy. There’s something about it that we both connect with – the architecture, history and the atmosphere is wonderful, and over the years we have joined the millions of tourists with our cameras to experience everything the city has to offer.
Last Saturday I was attending the Annual Bloggers Bash, so…

Yes, rhymes this week. I thought we would have some fun…maybe.
My example:
The two sentences should read as;
I must weave my words to create a spell wicked.
To create a spell wicked I now bust some rhymes.

Tim Hawkins is a comedian who happens to be a Christian. This means usually family friendly comedy. The guy is hilarious. Here he is in a 2 minute clip about marriage conflict resolution and texting.
As most of you know I’m using a tablet to read, reblog, and tweet since my laptop crashed. Florence of Meanings and Musings fortunately had permissions to my blog and can put out things as I need them done in emergency cases.
Instead of a review or roundup this week I tweeted each entry to the #SundayBlogShare. It’s very popular and hopefully will get everyone a few extra visits. The link below will take you to the challenge post where in the comments are links to each haiku. The duplicates have been deleted so that those wishing to visit will only visit a haiku once.
The fundraising Florence started, without my knowledge, will be ending at the end of Tuesday, at my request. I want to get back to blogging and my friends soon. My laptop is not a game tool for me, it is how a chronic pain sufferer and retroamnesia person with PTSD and issues with crowds since the grade 3 concussion keeps in touch with the world. That’s all of you, my blog friends and family.
Never try to type all of this on tablet with fibromyalgia and arthritis and migraines, it’s a bear.
Much Respect

Get the first in Olga’s new series for FREE! I got mine. Pretty much all platforms. I can’t blog except for reblogging without a new computer but I can read a book by one of my most favorite people that I respect so much.
Hi all:
Today just a short post to let you know that from later this week I’ll be away and going to a place where I don’t expect to have regular access to internet. My Dad passed away earlier this year and my Mom and I are going to the little hamlet where he was born to take his ashes, visit relatives and try to sort a few things out. I’m not sure when I’ll be back, but I hope it will be some time in early September.
I hope I’ll have some time to catch up on some reading, writing, and will come back full of ideas, and definitely reviews. And a few more interviews that are coming my way soon.
I thought I’d leave you a present, if you don’t mind. I’ve been quite busy recently with the publication of my new YA series, Angelic Business. By…

Well it has to happen… there must indeed be a deadline to the campaign to help Ronovan.
Ronovan thanks everyone who has supported the campaign for a new laptop so he can return to writing, blogging, and being with his blogging community. He has asked me to end the fundraising at the end of Tuesday, 11 August, as he wants to get back sooner than later even if the goal amount has not been met. He will purchase the best he can with the amount raised.
Psst, I don’t think he likes the idea of needing help and wants this to end soon. Now someone find me an emoticon for ‘rolling her eyes’ on WordPress? 🙂
Anyway, there you go people, you have till the end of Tuesday, 11 August to help in whichever way and in whatever amount you can. Click on this link to contribute and read the full story of why he needs his laptop. It’s not just for blogging.
Don’t know what I am talking about? Read this post and help out.
Thanks everyone!

My reblog for today. Yes, I stole the tablet while son works on summer project. Did a few RTs on Twitter so I could be of some use.
Thanks to those who have donated for a new laptop so far. Florence set a goal that would get me something nice and give me freedom again. I can’t tell you how moved I have been. Well the migraine is spiking from using this thing and typing on a screen with knuckles is harder than you think. (I can’t unclench fists due to the arthritis and fibro sometimes but I keep writing anyway,or did.)
Much Love to All

First in is Juliet with Healing Wounds. Stole ,the tablet to do this reblog. Migraine is already spiking from using it. Felt I had to try to do this though as I said I would in the challenge post.
Battered Wife Seeking Better Life
Today’s prompt words made me think of the phrase “Not all wounds are visible.” Along with my own personal story, there are many others that have been through the same situation. There are some out there that think because there is not physical violence that they are not in an abusive situation.
This haiku is for all of us.
Prompts: Luck & Hope
Time will heal all wounds,
Hopefully that phrase is true,
If so, we’re lucky.
Challenge #56
The rules are simple.
My example:
The two sentences should read as;
Some believe in luck with every first star seen wish.
With every first star seen wish, I hope they come true.
