Before we begin, make certain to visit each person you haven’t already. Not sure who you visited? It doesn’t take but a few seconds to click and find out. The links open in a new window, unless you have your device set up for one window only. Opening in a new window means you don’t have to find where you were when completed reading of a Haiku.
Some of you may wonder why I don’t comment all the time on your Haiku posts. Sometimes I would end up saying the same thing twice, therefore I keep the comments for the review.
Also, some ping backs aren’t working properly. I believe WordPress has some issues or it might be an ISP thing where at the time of publishing a post there is an update or delay and the ping back isn’t delivered. It works on the post site, but doesn’t reach the Challenge post. I do go and check various sites at times and find some each week that didn’t make it over. Please double check your ping back arrives in order that I don’t miss including you, and others don’t miss out on visiting you.
70 Haiku-50 Poets-1 Review
NEW! Scott Bailey (AUTHOR): Giving | thehouseofbailey. A to the point
Haiku message for Scott’s first foray into the fray. “Here you will find dreams. Dreams of a family who have been through joy and loss. A family who journey continues. Dreams that we have achieved and some we still strive for. You will find the account of our adoption journey as well as the ramblings of my kids and the things they get up too!” There is much more you NEED to read about by clicking HERE. As you may notice Scott is an Author, by clicking HERE or the AUTHOR link above you may visit his UK Amazon author page. Click the IMAGE for Amazon.com. @houseofbailey
NEW! JustMaria: Carpe Diem | Doodles and Scribbles. Do I really need to give a hint after you read the title of the Haiku? Also a gif from one of my favorite movies of all time is given. “I have no particular genre for this blog on mind. I just want to share pieces of me– things that I love, random thoughts that I have, and everything in between.” More by clicking HERE. @ciisalveni
Annette Rochelle Aben (Best Selling Author, Radio Show Host):
The Excitement! | Annette Rochelle Aben. Annette shares part of her philosophy of positive thinking in three lines. Click the image for the story and the great purpose behind her endeavor. Check out Annette’s books at the Author link above and her Radio Show at the Host link. @YouAreTheExpert
Mira: (2 Links) complete | They, You And Me. Love and life in continuance and stages/phases. in the moment | To Wear a Rainbow. Very good message to live by. @BediMona
Dorn Simon-Sinnott: Sudden Raindrops | The Writer Behind DornDryad’s Blog. Nature and human nature at the same time. Interesting choice of words and message.
Michael Erb & Company: Poetry Is | Me and the Boss Poetry. I think all will agree with the message of this one. @IrisandMe
jazzytower (PR): Liven Up | Thoughts and Entanglements. A bit of nature, fro certain but then a message to us as well. @jazzytower
poeticfootprints: Life | poeticfootprints. I think the time is up.
Alice: Warning | Boomerang Zone. The Haiku reminds me of a saying that would be familiar to a great many people, created by a legendary comedian currently embattled in a great number of accusations. @Vidocq_CC
Meredith & Martha: Cleft of the Rock/Life Cycle by Meredith and Hope/Cycle by Martha | Meredith’s Musings. Meredith’s first Haiku combined with the image delivers a powerful message I believe in greatly. Her second is a cute one, until you realize what happens after that event. Martha’s two are somewhat tied together if you look at them a certain way. Both of the M&M girls, our Literary Angels, bring some of their core to their poetry this week. @Meredithlbl
Ritu: Peace | But I Smile Anyway. I can only … no can’t give away a hint as to what the Haiku is about. You could beetle it out of me and I still wouldn’t tell. @PhantomGiggler
Elusive: The Gift | Elusive Trope. I always enjoy seeing images like this one and the Haiku fits perfectly.
Judy: Fresh Release | Edwina’s Episodes. A nice Haiku, and it’s true, even if that last line may not apply to everyone. @EdwinasEpisodes
Olga: Life Giver | Stuff and what if. I would say a positive look at certain states some look negatively upon.
Clarence: (5 Links) Grace | PrarieChat. An interesting synonym used for life here. Also a great link to click for a Willie Nelson song. Don’t think country. This is more blues/soul than country and fits Nelson’s voice perfectly. The song lyrics are excellent as well, and I think everyone will identify with parts of it. Give it a chance. Night Sky: A nice nature Haiku using the prompt words. Holiday Wishes: A Haiku of this past week’s holiday and the reason for the words chosen for the challenge. Gift 11-28-2015: Hmm, that last line is interesting.
Wendy Anne Darling (Author): Moment in Time | Wendy Anne Darling. A message of not wasting the moment. Check out Wendy’s book Silver Lightning on Amazon at the Author link above. @AuthorWDarling
Sandra: Remember | Wild Daffodil. Somewhat sad. But oddly makes me think of writing a Haiku. The space is limited to use thus the words are limited as well.
J Lapis: Blessed Life of Abundant Giver | DarkLight Harbor. A Haiku telling how things should be with a result most would wish for. It’s the only way.
Willow: Haiku One Haiku Two | willowdot21 (An insight to a heart mind and soul.) I need to think about these prompt words with broader vision. With Haiku you look for opposite meanings in the two sentences. With the two words I put forth this week, I’m seeing a theme developing.
Sue Vincent (Author): God-mother | Daily Echo. Three Haiku in a story of sorts. And yes, the theme has developed. Click the Author link for Sue at Amazon and her many books. @SCVincent
TJ Paris: Bamboo Grove-Vietnam |La vie est trop courte pour boire du mauvais vin. Once again TJ has provided a Haiku and Photography of equal benefit for the visitor. And as always, I love the photograph used. A great image I may use in the future for something, with TJ’s permission. @Roccoco_a_GoGo
Khor Hui Min: Challenge of Life | Project Prose. Weird title I came up with but it makes sense in the end. @MinKhor
Lizl: Fire Ants Go To War | Quilted Poetry. Educational and humorous. I wonder what happened to her brother after his smashing performance. @QuiltedPoetry
Al: On Love and Death | Al the Author’s Blog. Al the Proliferate provides SIX Haiku this week. That first one is kind of, um, well, servicing? Not saying where the mind went with that one! Now the others and the first as well, are very well put together and the phrasing has an ease to the tongue and ear. I think you will all enjoy this menagerie. @AlistairLane,
VronLacroix: Loving Heart | Simply shots. I don’t think Vron could have picked a more appropriate image to go with her Haiku. Considering what happens after one of the two ceases to exist, I think the use of eternal makes quite a bit of sense.
Kat: Life Giving Haiku | like mercury colliding. Three Haiku that are so poignant that I find it difficult to even comment. I can’t think of which one would be my favorite. Although that last one strikes home in such a huge way these days it’s difficult not to easily zone in on that one. But those first two are so ironic in nature I keep looking back to them. THREE MUST READS!
Florence: To Thy Self | Meanings And Musings. I said not long ago I was going to discontinue my humorous comments in regards to Florence’s Haiku. And she’s not giving me any opportunities of doing it. @FTThum
Ronovan Caring is Given | RonovanWrites. Combining an author quote event with my Haiku challenge. The Haiku is about motherhood. Not certain why I’m on that subject so often lately. @RonovanWrites
Janice: Offering’s Embrace | Ontheland. A Tanka about some fowl friends. @ontheland1
Carol Campbell: Worship | WritersDream9. A Tanka of interest with great word usage. One I think you will all enjoy. @carolfc1958
denis: Charlie | Haiku hound. Everyone go and see this one. I mean read this one and see this one. If you’ve read my article about A Blog Worth Knowing, you’ve heard of Charlie Girl. Well go and see some before and after shots, along with a tribute to her. A MUST!
Greg: Life Given| Potholes in the Road of Life. A message of a need to focus and be give to get. @greg_wolford
Jane Dougherty (Author): Nature Moves | Jane Dougherty Writes. I chose the title for the two Haiku based on the movement running within the poetry. Check out Jane’s books on Amazon at the Author link above. @MJDougThe Color Red | Writing is my lifeherty33
D.B. Mauldin (Author): Thanksgiving/Mother | mama bear musings. A nice message to us all, and thought shared by me during this week’s challenge. Check out the Author link for offerings on Amazon and click HERE for the About page links to other online distribution such as Smashwords. @dmauldin3
Tessa: Reason for Thanks | Writing is my life. Tessa gives probably what many believe is the reason for giving thanks this past week. Although not everyone. @TeresaSmeigh
Prakash: Ehh! | Its PH. I think I get this one and if I do then it’s a good one. @itsPHTweet
Jen (JK): Timeout | The Secret Keeper. A peaceful wish. @occultguardian
Ruby Manchanda: All yours | Whispering Thoughts. OOooOOOooO, a bit of devoted romance. One of our Blogger blog friends.
Vashti Quiroz-Vega (Author): Passion in the Garden of Eden | The Writer Next Door. Interestingly enough I know where this particular Haiku is coming from. Read it now and at some point you will say, “Ahhh, that was it.” Check out Vashti on Amazon at the Author link above and you can see her interview by clicking HERE. @VashtiQV
Colleen Chesebro: Crystal Snowflakes | Silver Threading. Check out Colleen’s new view from a new window of her new home. A whole lot different then Florida. And the Haiku does a great job of describing the subject in a different way. @ColleenChesebro
Tolulope Sanusi: Gift of Life | rubys polaroid. Um, not sure exactly if the Haiku is what I am thinking it means but what I’m think it means is one wow of a meaning. If that didn’t make sense, I’m medicated, it’s late, and this one is awesome in its own way. @rubyr8_soul
Nagrij or (Greg Pierce) yeah, I snooped. (Author): I.D. | Nagrij Writes the Hits You Never Knew Existed. Now this is an interesting Haiku. Kind of a mystery in three lines. You can check out the list of books on Amazon by clicking the Author link above.
Becky G: Life Eternal | Becky G? Oh, that’s me! I think the title, combined with a few other Haiku this week will most likely give you a clue to the message.
Marje: Banana Love/Car of death| Kyrosmagica. This could also be called Squirrelly/King. @Marjorie_Mallon
R. Todd: Dark Side | A Flash of Fiction. Yoda speak. @psibrone
E. Rawls (Author): Drops of Life/At Peace | Rawls E. Fantasy. Considering last week’s spooky offering I didn’t know what to expect when seeing the title of Drops of Life, but it turned out safe. The second one, depending on how you define or pronounce that first word used, the Haiku can take on a couple of different meanings. Check out Bleeding Hearts, a collection of short stories, poems, and riddles, at Elizabeth’s Author page on Amazon by clicking the Author link above. @VChronicles_
Christine Randall: Find the Joy | Christine R (Trying to keep the brain cells alive.) A great message along with a great photo. The detail on the subject is amazing. Also visit her Author site, CJRANDALL.COM. @cj_randall
Nato: Melting Heart | Chasing Life and Finding Dreams. A tale I hope often rings true with many of you. Visit Michelle Lunato Photography as well. @MichelleLunato
“Beauty lies not in the eye of the beholder, but is instead in the heart of the beheld.”~Ronovan Hester
I hadn’t intended to combine any challenges this week, nor in fact participate. With it being a holiday week here in the US, and the boy “B” home for much of it, I didn’t think it would be possible. However, when I woke this morning a phrase came to my mind, the one I am using as my Writer’s Quote Wednesday participation, if there is one this week, what with the holiday and all. Although my first thought was not of the animal world, I eventually made my way in that direction and through my photoshop painting came up with the above from a photo I found online. To get the blended and brush stroke qualities, not so evident here, there is a blend tool to use. Lay down several colors in an area and then use the tool and slide over the area. The colors will blur and blend as though you mixed paints.
The poem and image are contributions to my Haiku Challenge this week, and in part to #BeWoW if people wish to link back to here for that purpose as my son will be home tomorrow and I’m certain I will have little time for doing things other than hopefully watching some old holiday movies and maybe eating popcorn.

An update for some and something totally new for others. The FREE eBook Project, details found at THIS LINK, has a slight change. Amazon may not have the option for an ALWAYS free eBook. It does price match, thus the reason it seems like a book is always free. I am looking at Smashwords which does offer FREE eBook options all the time, and more reader options, including Kindle, PDF, and lots more. If you are one of the over 30 who have signed up to be part of the project and change your mind, go to the link and fill out the form to negate your agreement. Whatever we do, I’ll keep all informed. Click HERE to find out the reader options on Smashwords.
Next week I’ll pare down the project blurb to very little.

UPDATE about the FREE eBook Project!
I’ve been looking into the Amazon ebook idea. I’m not 100% positive they allow a book to be FREE all the time, so I am also looking at Smashwords which does do FREE all the time and is a author friendly site. Smashwords is a great platform, much like Amazon, but with even more ways of reading eBooks. Once things get to that point, I will let you know what all we’re doing. If you have any qualms with Smashwords and have signed up to be part of the FREE eBook Projects then fill out the form to say NO to that question that is in there. Smashwords is a way for those without any apps or e-readers to read by using pdf, or even txt formats. You may see an eBook free all the time on Amazon but it is possibly part of the price matching program they have. So if the item is free elsewhere then Amazon eventually price matches it. But I never want there to be money involved in this. I don’t want anyone thinking I am trying to make money off of another person’s intellectual property. I am thinking of this as a neat way to get everyone’s name in a book, share your blogs, and have a nice thing to show our friends and families.
End of Update.
Before we begin, make certain to visit each person you haven’t already. Not sure who you visited? It doesn’t take but a few seconds to click and find out. The links open in a new window, unless you have your device setup for one window only. Opening in a new window means you don’t have to find where you were when completed reading of a Haiku.
NEW! Willow: Cover Colour | williowdot21 (An insight to a heart mind and soul.) A Haiku with nature running through it but with an image you can take a number of ways … if you put your mind to it. We have the pleasure of a new friend by way of Kat of Like Mercury Colliding, one of our veteran members. “This is my chance to display my poetry and pros . In a way it is mainly for my own expression of the pent up feelings and stress that usually pins me into a corner on a daily basis! My profile tells you all you need to know about me , my poems I think tell you even more. I hope you can enjoy my work, feel free to drop in at any time you are always welcome.” And more on her About Page.
NEW! Christine Randall: This Old Woman | Christine R (Trying to keep the brain cells alive.) I wanted to call this The Colour of Girl, but there was already a title. You’ll see why I wanted that name when you visit. “I was born in South Australia a bit less than 60 years ago. I have a daughter and son from my first marriage, and 3 step-sons from this one. I live in Victoria, Australia. Many years ago I took up Family History. Lots of surprises in store there, least of which was the startling revelation that my husband and I are 6th cousins, with our children and grandchildren blood relatives to each other too!” And more on the About Page. Also visit her Author site, CJRANDALL.COM. @cj_randall
NEW! poeticfootprints: The Color of Lies | poeticfootprints. Synonyms galore in this entry, and rhymes too, although not intentional. A comment on part of some human nature. “About a year ago, I had some intense personal stuff happen that jump started this creativity in me again. I’ve found it a way to voice, vent and work through my thoughts, feelings and problems. A form of therapy. I never shared my writings, I am shy and my poems are very personal, like diary entities.” And much more on the Why I Write page.
NEW! Dorn Simon-Sinnott: Sudden Raindrops | The Writer Behind DornDryad’s Blog. A very first attempt at a Haiku and nailed it. Was nice to see some of the Haiku community welcomed here in and appreciated the Haiku as well. And Clarence let us inside that mind of his a little more with some of his comedic likings. “…was born in the ‘oldest recorded town in Britain’, the Pre-Roman town of Camulodunum, now known as Colchester in 1968. (The earliest record of the town’s existence is a reference by the Roman writer, Pliny the Elder in AD77). Dorn and her family lived briefly in New Jersey, USA. before returning to the East Anglian region of England whilst She still a child. It was there that Dorn began writing as early as Seven years old, mostly writing poetry. This developed into all forms of writing during the following forty years.” And you know you want to know the rest by clicking HERE.
Juliette: Blue Skies | Battered Wife seeking Better Life. Using a synonym of sorts, we have a Haiku of nature canvas. @BWseeingBL
Annette Rochelle Aben (Best Selling Author, Radio Show Host):
Color Me Ginger | Annette Rochelle Aben. Not sure if I was watching Gilligan’s Island when I came up with that title or it has something to do with her Haiku. You’ll need to click to find out. Although if you’ll notice I didn’t say Cover Me Ginger. Maybe that’ll give you a clue. Click the image for the story and the great purpose behind her endeavor. Check out Annette’s books at the Author link above and her Radio Show at the Host link. @YouAreTheExpert
Peter Bouchier: Plea(se) | Wherever I lay my pen, that’s my home. Two things here about Peter’s Haiku, the first being the image is by his brother. The second is the message delivered is one of universal sentiment at this time. Although I chose the prompt words before I knew about recent events, there was an obvious reason they found their way to my mind.
TJ Paris:(2 Links) Covered by Color |La vie est trop courte pour boire du mauvais vin. Where the mind goes when seeing two words is interesting to see. TJ went to another country for this one. Sea Eagle is a Haiku inspired by a rather unique photographic opportunity. @Roccoco_a_GoGo
Greg: Life’s Colors | Potholes in the Road of Life. Greg went a little different this week. But changing up and going with what you got is what you @greg_wolford
Shida: Cover Me With Your Love | 876LoveR. Go gaze with your reflective surfaced orbs upon this vessel of sensuality. @realrebel_r
Jane Dougherty (Author): Color the Day | Jane Dougherty Writes. A theme, as normally Jane gives us when she provides multiple Haiku in one post. With this one you have the day discussed. Discussed through the poetic talents of the Author Jane Dougherty. Check out Jane’s books on Amazon at the Author link above. @MJDougherty33
Judy: Sailor’s Warning | Edwina’s Episodes. There’s an old saying about the weather. I’ve always wondered if the Farmer’s Warning would be the exact opposite. @EdwinasEpisodes
jazzytower (PR): Forrest Canvas | Thoughts and Entanglements. A Haiku is supposed to involve two things outside of the syllable structure and two formed sentences. One, it is to be about nature, and two, the two sentences formed should have opposite meanings. PR gives a very subtle and almost missed opposite here. Very well done. @jazzytower
Ronovan We Color the World | RonovanWrites. As I’ve said above, the prompt words were chosen before the awful weekend events in Paris. This was my honoring of those now gone and for those left behind to mourn and fear. @RonovanWrites
Alice: Terror | Boomerang Zone. Don’t use your imagination too much on this one, or you’ll not be able to sleep tonight. @Vidocq_CC
Kat: Nature’s Stained Glass Window | like mercury colliding. I was going to go with a more humorous title, being there is a touch of humor and play on words in Kat’s explanation this week, a brief explanation, but the Haiku deserved better than my attempts at levity.
Clarence: Cover The Spectrum | PrarieChat. Five Haiku this week. Clarence covers a broad range of topics here. We have nature, mythology of the Aboriginal people of Australia, and social commentary of daily headline events here in the US.
Colleen Chesebro: No Meaning | Silver Threading. Colleen has returned after a journey to a new home across the country. Check her bright Haiku. @ColleenChesebro
Mira: (2 Links) Undying | They, You And Me. Love and romance. Gold | To Wear a Rainbow. Commentary on society and life. And she needs to get back to posting earlier in the week. I get worried when she comes in this late. I’m accustomed to her early posts. @BediMona
Michael Erb & Company: Inner Tellings | Me and the Boss Poetry. I know I chose an odd title, or at least it sounds as such, but once you peruse the poetic you’ll see the method of my madness. I believe these are among the best I’ve seen in regards to their subject. Very nice. @IrisandMe
Ritu: Rainbow & Butterfly & Sunglasses Needed | But I Smile Anyway. Very colorful offerings this week. Two from nature. Loved the photography in the first one. The first two Haiku are excellent nature ones. That last one for giggles? Warning, wear your sunglasses. @PhantomGiggler
Meredith & Martha: Play Dead/Symbols by Meredith and Allies/Invocation by Martha | Meredith’s Musings. Inspired poetry from recent events. @Meredithlbl
Dr. Kottaway: Safe Harbor | KO Rural Mad As Hell Blog. Not the same event of others so far. Very well done and I like how she shares her path to her poetic output.
Melissa: Silver Linings | The Aran Artisan. This week the Haiku play second fiddle to the rest of the article. You’ll find the Haiku itself midway down the page. The article itself gives a look into a life of an Irish, and I will say American, as we still claim Melissa as our own, farm family. Beautiful pieces to see from our crafty and talented friend. @TheAranArtisan
Lizl: Mouse Dreams | Quilted Poetry. Story of winter and a mouse’s dream during it. Along with the Haiku we have a story from years gone by and the cause for affection for mice. @QuiltedPoetry
Tessa: The Color Red | Writing is my life. Hmm, this could be a tragedy in many ways, or purely nature with poetic license in the autumn. @TeresaSmeigh
Claudette: Faithless | to search and to find happiness in every day. As one comment stated, Claudette does ‘tell-it-like-it-is’.
denis: goodbye for now | Haiku hound. A Haiku from my feature post this week of A Blog Worth Knowing. And no, he’s not leaving us, at least I hope he’s not.
VronLacroix: Tints of Autumn | Simply Snapshots. A gorgeous imagine for a Haiku with wonderful use of words.
Florence: Transformational Smile | Meanings And Musings. A Haiku purely inspired by the image shared. You’ll notice the copyright provided for the image. Make certain to compliment the art and artist. @FTThum
Al: Three Color Concoctions | Al the Author’s Blog. Three serious and socially conscious Haiku this week. @AlistairLane
D.B. Mauldin (Author): Frost/Angels | mama bear musings. Two this week, one of nature and other of, hmm, a more personal nature. Check out the Author link for offerings on Amazon and click HERE for the About page links to other online distribution such as Smashwords. @dmauldin3
Prakash: My Life is Brightened | Its PH. Still wrapping my mind around this one. Not trying to hard or I might get slapped. @itsPHTweet
Elusive: Media Media | Elusive Trope. Definitely agree with this one. Always have.
Janice: Stained Cloak | Ontheland. Social commentary provided with this one along with explanations and reasons. Well thought out and written. @ontheland1
J Lapis: Haiku’s Newest Color and Cover | DarkLight Harbor. The first is a topic I, a fair one, am jealous of, and the second a nature piece that’s a bit unique in description. I liked it..
Sue Vincent (Author): Sleeper | Daily Echo. Ah, she speaks of a moment of beauty lost to a certain kind. Click the Author link for Sue at Amazon and her many books. @SCVincent
Alka: WHuge Solidarity/Crying Jacaranda | Magnanimous Words. A recognition of tribute and a beautiful mess of a Haiku that describes the image used perfectly. @girally
Patricia: Nature’s Covering | A season and a time. Two haiku, both of nature. That first one is a half truth. Depend on who has to clean it up. And the second is nicely done as well with the use of quilt for cover, and it’s still a nature Haiku.
Daniel Schwamm: Dream Weaver | Musing Life’s Mysteries. See if you can decipher the Haiku without looking at the comments. @danSchwamm
Steven S. Walsky (Author): magic colors dance | Simplicity Lane. A very nice autumn Haiku. We didn’t get much color here this year so it’s nice to see people sharing photos of some. Click the Author link above to go to Steven’s blog where you will find all the available places for each book. He’s varied.
Ruby Manchanda: Taste of rainbow | Whispering Thoughts. Okay, when I first saw the name of the Haiku, I think some of you knew what I would be thinking. But of course Ruby went more original than that. One of our Blogger blog friends.
Marje: Sea Dreams| Kyrosmagica. Three Haiku about something Marje loves. With explanation given and even an Author’s Quote as well. @Marjorie_Mallon
AC Elliott New Growth Allowed | File Cabinet Ramblings. Gives us a reality check here. The reason why things are they way they are. @elliott_ac
Jen (JK): Terror Rips | The Secret Keeper. I think the title speaks for itself. @occultguardian
Sandra: Grey | Wild Daffodil. An excellent entry. What she speaks of and the image reminds me of the same type of thing here that we have. Very few people even notice it. This was her first attempt at a Tanka and I do believe she did quite well with it. Let her know what you think.
Sarina Joy of Support | Shining Seeds A Haiku I believe in the vein of the theme this week of so many toward those in need. @shiningseeds
Vashti Quiroz-Vega (Author): Beloved | The Writer Next Door. Vashti went a bit on the passion side of life this week. Check out Vashti on Amazon at the Author link above and you can see her interview by clicking HERE. @VashtiQV
Nagrij or (Greg Pierce) yeah, I snooped. (Author): The Collection | Nagrij Writes the Hits You Never Knew Existed. Okay, this is my favorite. Why? Kicked me back to fun times and simpler days. You can check out the list of books on Amazon by clicking the Author link above.
Tolulope Sanusi: Covering Our True Colours | rubys polaroid. An interesting Haiku with something to think about. One each person needs to come to their own comments about. @rubyr8_soul
R. Todd: Crimson… | A Flash of Fiction. A deep Haiku here. A universality in the message. @psibrone
E. Rawls (Author): Shine Out/Mist | Rawls E. Fantasy. Some spooky nature stuff going on with these two. Check out Bleeding Hearts, a collection of short stories, poems, and riddles, at Elizabeth’s Author page on Amazon by clicking the Author link above. @VChronicles_
Becky G: Blanked Out | Becky G? Oh, that’s me! Sad but also cool too, at least for someone from the South.
Nato: Spiral of Love | Chasing Life and Finding Dreams. OoooOOOooo Romance. Visit Michelle Lunato Photography as well. @MichelleLunato
Janni Styles (Author): Color and Cover in 3 Haiku | JanniStyles1.
She’s a rule breaker in the second one. The other two are a bit more serious in tone. And even the second one has some somber tones if you choose to look at it that way. Check her author page and books out on Smashwords by clicking the Author link above. One is a “wee collection of verse” and one is a collection of short stories and BOTH are FREE for now! @jannistyles1
Olga: Undercover | Stuff and what if. Sounds like a mystery or suspense story. The image is her own creation this week. A photo she took herself.

Not sure how why the ping back for our friend Juliette’s Haiku delayed coming in until after Annette’s comment, but here we are. Either that or I’m seriously confused about something. Imagine that! Click on through and support her Haiku on her blog.
Battered Wife Seeking Better Life
This week’s prompt words are: Cover & Color
Four things to remember when writing haiku:
Notice the word normally. You can have the poem be about aspects of the same thing, but normally you look at it from two different ways.
I almost never think of the opposing themes when first writing the haiku. My initial thoughts are to fit the words into something that sounds decent and then I check my syllable use. If I’m somewhat happy with what popped out of my brain, I’ll knead the…

Something we can have that’s ours and an experience to share with loved ones maybe. But no form, no usage of your Haiku. Just keep writing as usual. And it isn’t a guarantee it will happen. But I think it will. A great way to learn a lot about the world of publishing. We have at least 20 sign up so far.
Maybe this week isn’t so bad with the words. Cover has so many uses. You can even apply it to types of cover, such as blanket or the like. Color, well that one you an go with in a lot of direction as well. Are they challenging? Slightly, but I do want to make you have to think sometime.
MAKE SURE TO VISIT THE NEW WEEKLY FRIDAY FICTION with RONOVAN WRITES!

IF YOU DON’T WANT INCLUDED THEN DO NOTHING EXCEPT KEEP WRITING THOSE HAIKU!!!
9 have signed up so far and word only went on on Friday. Very nice.
NEW! Janni Styles (Author): The Watchers | JanniStyles1. An oh so true story and bit of wisdom here. One I’ve been attempting to teach my son every chance I can. “Blogging is all I really have time or energy for at the moment and some days now, thanks to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Fibroymyalgia and Chronic Fatigue, even that is in question so I often post old works, previous works or short poems. Told by a writing instructor that we need to write a million words, I believe it was from this quote: “Start early and work hard. A writer’s apprenticeship usually involves writing a million words (which are then discarded) before he’s almost ready to begin. That takes a while.” ~David Eddings
Well, I’ve done my million… I think, lol… here’s the short version:” Click HERE for that short version. I’ve seen Janni around so often that I’m not 100% positive if she has participated before, but I know I haven’t listed her as an author before. She’s an Author. Check her author page and books out on Smashwords by clicking the Author link above. One is a “wee collection of verse” and one is a collection of short stories and BOTH are FREE for now! I got mine. @jannistyles1
Annette Rochelle Aben (Best Selling Author, Radio Show Host):
Behold the Majestic | Annette Rochelle Aben. A surprisingly beautiful image from so quickly put together of a Haiku. Although 16 minutes is a bit slow for Annette, I think she must have decided to have breakfast after she saw the prompt come out. But that’s the great thing about Haiku, you go with instinct and see what happens. You may change a word here or there but that initial thought can be the best moment of creativity. Click the image for the story and the great purpose behind her endeavor. Check out Annette’s books at the Author link above and her Radio Show at the Host link. @YouAreTheExpert
Tessa: Gold Crane | Writing is my life. Make sure to check out Tessa’s new profile photo! There is a symmetry of the use of words in this one. And oddly, I don’t often, if I have ever, noticed how symmetrical the length of the first and third lines can be until I read this one. The two are not exactly the same length but close enough to give a balance to the whole piece. Strange what you see and think of when you look at a piece of poetry. @TeresaSmeigh
Greg: Lookie-Loos | Potholes in the Road of Life. Not the usual from our friend Greg. And he got me with this one. From that title I had no idea what to expect, but he went alternate meaning for this one, alternate from what you may have at first thought. And oddly you could say this is a nature Haiku in many ways. @greg_wolford
Alice: Gruidae | Boomerang Zone. You are looking at the title and wondering what it means, right? Don’t worry, I had to search it. And then I laughed. Totally appropriate for the challenge this week. I at first thought the Haiku was of a peaceful imagery but there is one word that then makes me go to the more, well not quite peaceful. Kind of funny in my mind. Thinking of John Travolta as a bird now. @Vidocq_CC
Clarence: 3 Golden Wishes | PrarieChat. If you haven’t been visiting Clarence’s blog lately, this is a good time to jump back to it. Very good offerings. Clarence is showing his learning this week. Another turn to the search engines for me already. First Alice and now Clarence. But I enjoy that, it just makes doing the review take a little longer.
Shida: Red Yiy | 876LoveR. It took a couple of tries to fully get this one. Then it came in to view and I laughed. I’m not sure if I laughed at humor or at my slowness at understanding. I only have one negative thing to say about Shida, I’m jealous. I can’t be a BrownGirlBlogger. I may have to start the SpeckledBrothersBloggersBand. Um, I have freckles. And no, I can’t say it even two times fast. @realrebel_r
Judy: Failure or Fate | Edwina’s Episodes. Sometimes you wonder why you didn’t get to do that something you wanted to. Now, I’m not saying things happen to bring an opportunity for a Haiku, but it does give you a thought as to perhaps there is some reason behind why that thing was missed. @EdwinasEpisodes
Kat: Gold ‘n Crane | like mercury colliding. I think you’ll enjoy these three. I know she may be wondering why I didn’t make up a title this week and went with the post title, but I liked how that looked and sounded together. All three are different, and all very much telling their own stories. Very well done.
jazzytower: Silhouettes Begin | Thoughts and Entanglements. A very peaceful and imagery filled Haiku. I would like to see a painting of this one or a photograph by someone who knows how. Hmm, just thought, I guess this really did paint a picture with words for me. Now that’s amazing in only 13 words. @jazzytower
Ritu: Mane & Happy New Year | But I Smile Anyway. Two Haiku that use synonyms to amazing affect, effect, offect. She used them so well. The first one is very much a nature Haiku and may have you scratching your head a little at first for the prompt words, but they are there in all their syonymatic glory. (Yes, I made up a word but isn’t it a cool one?) @PhantomGiggler
Michael Erb & Company: Lovers Embrace | Me and the Boss Poetry. Four Haiku that truly do tell a story, one leading to the next to a final end. Reminding one of a scene perhaps of being at a cabin on a lake and rising in the morning. @IrisandMe
Sue Vincent (Author): Promise | Daily Echo. This week Sue gives a culture reference. I even looked it up and didn’t know the names we used in the US, well I had heard of them but had no idea they referred to this. And now that I’ve seen one close up in a picture, I may not sleep until the next review. Of course I discussed it with my boy “B” and he loved it. But the Haiku and photo were at the Sue Vincent level of offering, so you know you want to go and check both out. Click the Author link for Sue at Amazon and her many books. @SCVincent
Dr. Kottaway: Gleaning | KO Rural Mad As Hell Blog. You know, I often expect a bit of odd humor and a strange way of Haiku for our resident doctor, I mean that in a good way. She stretches the mind at times. Like silly putty. But this one isn’t like that. This is a great educational post about sand dunes in Colorado? I had no idea. Or maybe I did but amnesia sucks at times. I REALLY enjoyed reading about her time there and photo showing the scale of things. So much in a short paragraph. The lady should write a book.
Lizl: The Golden Weaver’s Domestic Chores | Quilted Poetry. Great imagery created here. And this must be the week for great posts to along with Haiku. We get a part of Lizl’s enjoyment of life in North Dakota and information about the Golden Palm Weaver. Make certain to visit and click her link or an image. WOW! Another enjoyable post and Haiku. @QuiltedPoetry
Wendy Anne Darling (Author): Serenity | Wendy Anne Darling. Perfect marriage of Haiku and image. I loved the use of the word ‘melting’ here. Check out Wendy’s book Silver Lightning on Amazon at the Author link above. @AuthorWDarling
denis: Nesting | Haiku hound. You gotta go check this blog out. Haiku Hound is a blog that, well if you haven’t visited then you are missing out on some AMAZING photography you might find in National Geographic. The Haiku this week is excellent and learning a touch about Rainbow Lorikeets was a lot of fun.
J Lapis: Gold Romance, Crane Style | DarkLight Harbor. Two “little quickies” for you this week. A proposal and a second I can see being interpreted many ways, almost like … well you determine what you think it means for you.
Al: Canal-side, Cuisine, Cultural, and wait for it Plot summary for those who’ve never seen The Karate Kid | Al the Author’s Blog. Four Haiku and all of those titles are provided by Al. I wanted to state that for the record. You get a serious Nature Haiku to start off with and then … Al takes over and loses control. @AlistairLane
Janice: Crane Lovers | Ontheland. A great Haiku along with a great work of art from 1833. I thought Janice might do well with this one. A true Nature endeavor. @ontheland1
TJ Paris: In Bloom |La vie est trop courte pour boire du mauvais vin. I DID IT! You’ll find out what I did when you visit the post. Of course a great Haiku obviously completely inspired by the photograph. @Roccoco_a_GoGo
Meredith & Martha: Pulled/Builder’s Dream by Meredith and Benevolence/The Concert by Martha | Meredith’s Musings. Meredith gives us two different Haiku while Martha’s I kind of see in an odd way playing on a theme depending on the person looking at what they are looking forward to. If you understood that, congratulations. @Meredithlbl
Elusive: Urban Dusk | Elusive Trope. I agree with Olga about that last line. Two images come to mind. Go see what you can come up with.
D.B. Mauldin (Author): WGolden Crane, Pot of Gold, and Church Women | mama bear musings. Three this week. After typing all of Al’s Haiku names this was a piece of cake. So these were awesome. I really like Pot of Gold and Church Women make me laugh because I’ve seen them sitting in front me at church hundreds of times. Check out the Author link for offerings on Amazon and click HERE for the About page links to other online distribution such as Smashwords. @dmauldin3
Nato: Dear Eternal Victim | Chasing Life and Finding Dreams. Some great advice here. I was thinking it would be interesting to tag people you know to a post to give them a clue about their lives they can’t see for themselves. But no matter how many times you tell a person that dwells in victim-hood they refuse to see. Visit Michelle Lunato Photography as well. @MichelleLunato
Sandra: Crane | Wild Daffodil. Okay, this was one weird turn of events. The choice of the word crane as a prompt was perfect for Sandra this week. Seriously go see why. Also wish her a happy birthday. She actually posted the Haiku on her birthday. Dedication or what?
Olga: Crane Drops | Stuff and what if. Great visual with the Haiku. A visual she was forced to create herself for lack of finding anything just right. You WILL love it. Everyone else did. The comments were great except for an odd one that I think may have not come across as intended.
H. M. Goodchild (Author): Fortunes Dreams of Good Luck | Folksong and Fantasy. Two Haiku of folklore and fantasy. That may seem odd considering the name of the blog, but the two haiku actually fit perfectly. H. M. Goodchild is found on Amazon as Harriet Goodchild, yes, we have another author joining us. Click the Author link above to go to her Amazon Author page. @HMGoodchild
Ruby Manchanda: Winter greys | Whispering Thoughts. Now here is an interesting one that I doubt anyone has thought of. Both prompt uses are excellent, especially crane. One of our Blogger blog friends.
Ronovan Lifted by a Crane (A Mother’s Love) | RonovanWrites. A Haiku of my own that I honestly enjoy along with the image. I don’t often actually like my own work, but the combination I am happy with. @RonovanWrites
Pat B.: Defined Refined | A season and a time. Two Haiku and two takes on the prompts. But both have to do with nature, sort of. Pat is one of our Blogger blogs.
Mira: (2 Links) Summer Gold | They, You And Me. Awww, this one is cute. Gold | To Wear a Rainbow. Commentary on society and life. And she needs to get back to posting earlier in the week. I get worried when she comes in this late. I’m accustomed to her early posts. @BediMona
VronLacroix: Cranes flight | Simply Snapshots. Poor things can’t seem to get the formation down just right. But how many of you want to join them?
Steven S. Walsky (Author): lost gold of mankind | Simplicity Lane. Whoa, serious commentary and history lesson here. Excellent and sad. Click the Author link above to go to Steven’s blog where you will find all the available places for each book. He’s varied.
AC Elliott Fortune’s Herald | File Cabinet Ramblings I am getting the very vague message coming through some of the posts this week about the bird the crane. I can’t quite put my finger on it but it like itching my brain. So close to figuring out what it is. (Can you tell it’s getting late in the review? I think my focus has begun to slip … just a little.) @elliott_ac
Tolulope Sanusi: Golden Cranes | rubys polaroid. Do you know what Orizuku means? Have you been reading all the entries so far? If so then you may have spotted one. A wonderful Haiku this week with a touch of the whimsical about it that I enjoyed a lot. @rubyr8_soul
Vashti Quiroz-Vega (Author): The Pyramids of Egypt | The Writer Next Door. Two Haiku for the price of one. Now I have to be honest. I so did not even consider Haiku about pyramids when the prompts came to me. And aliens? But what kind of aliens do I mean? Go find out. Check out Vashti on Amazon at the Author link above and you can see her interview by clicking HERE. @VashtiQV
Nagrij or (Greg Pierce) yeah, I snooped. (Author): Lakes of Gold | Nagrij Writes the Hits You Never Knew Existed. The circle of life? Yeah it’s late in the review. It’s actually a very imagery filled Haiku, I just wanted to come up with something more to describe it with. You can check out the list of books on Amazon by clicking the Author link above.
Jane Dougherty (Author): “I Love Cranes” | Jane Dougherty Writes. Yes, a quote as a title. Four offerings, that’s how much she loves them. . Check out Jane’s books on Amazon at the Author link above. @MJDougherty33
Daniel Schwamm: The Gift | Musing Life’s Mysteries. Do you know what the gift is of which he speaks? No? Ask him. @danSchwamm
R. Todd: Morning Stroll… | A Flash of Fiction. Ah, a family outing. Very nice, peaceful, and the image is perfect. I think perhaps it may have led to the Haiku. @psibrone
Steven: Orizuru and Migration | Ramblings of a Drabbling Mind. Great as usual. That second one, Migration, is his experimental one and is easily read in many different combinations. I dare say he’s honing his skill at his creation nicely.
Jen (JK): Death’s Exchange | The Secret Keeper. Well it certainly tells a story. Sort of reminds me of those old movies a bit, fevered and in search and the like. @occultguardian
Florence: I Have the Power | Meanings And Musings. I like to have fun naming Florence’s Haiku but this will be the last week for the humorous endeavors with the upcoming possible ventures the challenge might take. This Haiku actually says a lot. More than what cranes often represent but what that representation means as a result. I didn’t even realize that until I began writing her review. I figured if I kept talking long enough, something interesting would come out. Or maybe not. @FTThum
E. Rawls (Author): Beyond/Source of Greed | Rawls E. Fantasy. The second of the two stays somewhat with a theme that has run through the challenge this week, or so it seems, but I like the words used here around the prompt words. Check out Bleeding Hearts, a collection of short stories, poems, and riddles, at Elizabeth’s Author page on Amazon by clicking the Author link above. @VChronicles_
Juliette: Sunday Sonnet | Battered Wife seeking Better Life. Ah, wisdom is given. And good wisdom at that. I thought I gave easy words for the week. @BWseeingBL

I’m a bit late with my Challenge Haiku. It’s been sometime since I did any art work with my Haiku. I used a photo I found online as my ‘model’ for this one, since there is no way I could find these two in my bedroom, nor would they stand still that long.

It’s THESAURUS time. No, that’s not a new character in the next Jurassic Park movie. For Crane click HERE and Gold click HERE. You don’t HAVE to use a synonym but if you get stuck, go for it, get wild, get crazy, go out on a crane limb for a pot of gold. And remember, scroll all the way down that page when you go to it, there are words all the way at the bottom to use.

Well she says @YouAreTheExpert but she was the expert this week and first in with Behold the Majestic. And everyone, please keep in mind and share Annette’s newest book A Haiku Perspective, inspired by our every own Haiku Challenge that has a great work attached to it for Mothers in prison being able to read to their children. Click HERE to learn more.
Some great photography this week, some insights into each others worlds. I very much enjoyed this one, as I do them all, but although there were some similarities in these it wasn’t difficult to go through so many and enjoy each one.
NEW! Michael Erb & Company: Heavenly Bound | Me and the Boss Poetry. Three Haiku of a theme, at least there is one sort of to me. There is a GREAT photo used in conjunction with this. The contrast of colors, all vivid with the sunlight. “Spring Hill, FL, United States Two nice old folks just hanging out, not hurting a bug or anything larger. The years have been kind to us and we now we are enjoying our golden years reading and writing. We are grateful for the God given talents that we now use to help others. “ More on the About page, including mention of over 200o photos. @IrisandMe
NEW! Tolulope Sanusi: Opened Eye | rubys polaroid. Excellent first entry into our community here. Be sure to visit and encourage. “My blog is a collection of pictures of my world as seen through my lens and how i see it should be captured, pictures of the urban areas, people going about life, tucked away places that the busy world flashes past.” Only a small bit of the “Peep In” page. @rubyr8_soul
Sue Vincent (Author): Freedom | Daily Echo. This Haiku has garnered a great deal of response and enjoyment. I often mention the photography of our challenge community but this particular photo especially shows an eye and talent. Click the Author link for Sue at Amazon and her many books. @SCVincent
Annette Rochelle Aben (Best Selling Author, Radio Show Host):
Inspiration to Perspiration to Inspiration | Annette Rochelle Aben. Anyone knowing of recent events and especially perhaps a certain release by Annette will appreciate her Haiku this week and the title, although that Perspiration part is stretching it a tad bit much. Click the image for the story and the great purpose behind her endeavor. Check out Annette’s books at the Author link above and her Radio Show at the Host link. @YouAreTheExpert
Mira: (2 Links) My Mind | They, You And Me. She was so nice to write a Haiku about me!!! Sigh, if only. So sad for me. Heart and mind | To Wear a Rainbow. Mira wrote an ad for the challenge this week. She captures one reason to write a Haiku. Some of you will undoubtedly say it’s the only reason I do. @BediMona
TJ Paris: Monday Haiku Mind |La vie est trop courte pour boire du mauvais vin. Three poems with excellent photography. Good use of photo and editing techniques. @Roccoco_a_GoGo
jazzytower: Follow the Whim | Thoughts and Entanglements. Letting the words fall where they may. @jazzytower
Clarence:(2 this week.) Fading Colors | PrarieChat. He turned a phrase here I keep going to. I will need to try and remember it for a future date. Breaking Rules. I have half a mind to disqualify this one.
Alice: Deepening your language skills | Boomerang Zone. After reading this one it occurs to me how educational Haiku can be. Using synonyms and counting syllables. Also forming two sentences with three lines of poetry. Cool. @Vidocq_CC
Meredith & Martha: Haiku/Poetry by Meredith and Using the Noggin/Emotional Outpouring by Martha | Meredith’s Musings. Meredith, in her introduction to her and Martha’s Literary Angels offerings this week, gives the reason I don’t do an Opening Haiku now and wait to put out my own Haiku, although Mondays get good clicks. As for the Haiku this week? Meredith’s are great advertising for the Challenge, and I seriously mean that. I may actually use them as such if she is okay with it. And Martha’s do the same. With Emotional Outpouring being the more, I guess you would say, poetic of the bunch as far as all the emotional outpourings we do. @Meredithlbl
Elusive: Haiku-Mind | Elusive Trope. I at first thought the title was a display of the prompt words, but no. The challenge has turned in to a reason for doing Haiku Poetry on a Monday. I hadn’t even thought of it going in that direction.
Lizl: Change of Season | Quilted Poetry. The explanation going with this one is not only well written, in a poetic way, not rhyming or anything like that, but also captures the peaceful sense of nature Haiku should capture when done in the truest way. @QuiltedPoetry
Judy: Tortured Soul | Edwina’s Episodes. Poor Judy is participating in National Novel Writing Month but still took part in the challenge. Her piece this week speaks to NaNoWriMo just as much as it does to the Haiku Challenge. @EdwinasEpisodes
Kat: I Wrote a Haiku | like mercury colliding. Foggy lady is funny lady.
Nato of Window of Poetry | Chasing Life and Finding Dreams. Michelle explains what or how Haiku comes about for her. Visit Michelle Lunato Photography as well. @MichelleLunato
Sandra: Sharp | Wild Daffodil. I think this is Sandra’s best combining of the two challenges she does. And I agree with her Haiku. When you visit you’ll see what I mean by Make the Most of Your Post.
Ritu: Haiku Form, Haiku Tax, and Haiku Class | But I Smile Anyway. That’s three Haiku. Now for me to read them. She tells it like it is. This is exactly what Haiku does. @PhantomGiggler
Greg: Nature’s Poetry | Potholes in the Road of Life. Well, I think you kind of get what it’s about from the title he gave it. @greg_wolford
Steven: Hanami and Washi | Ramblings of a Drabbling Mind. You know when you visit Steven you’re going to find something interesting. This week Hanami is the traditional Haiku with a very imagery filled piece, and Washi is the experimental piece which is just as imagery filled and amazingly easy to read. I think he nailed that one for even this concussed minded fool is able to understand.
Jen (JK): Contemplate | The Secret Keeper. That last line is a thinky link. Wrapping around it a bit. The image used is excellent and is by Phantomphreaq at deviantart.com @occultguardian
Tessa: The Haiku Mind | Writing is my life. Tessa tells us how her mind works to form a Haiku. I’m glad she popped in for this one. Crazy, man, Crazy. @TeresaSmeigh
VronLacroix: Harmonic Haiku | Simply Shanpshots. Oh wow, this one is kind of sticking in my head. I so need to go to the next one.
denis: free to roam | Haiku hound. We get a visit by Denis’ friend Charlie this
week, a beautiful young lady, although from this image you only get one side of her. Click the link to see her other side.
Al: Haiku on my Mind! | Al the Author’s Blog. Five Haiku this week. Um, I’m not even going to get in to it. You go and lose your mind on your own. Good luck. @AlistairLane
Elizabeth: ill monday | Tea & Paper. The ultimate sacrifice is discussed here. Some appreciation needs to be shown. @teandpaper
AC Elliott Calming the Beast | File Cabinet Ramblings We get the benefits of Haiku from AC. I was concerned this was going to be a spouse joke but … phew. @elliott_ac
Ronovan Behave | RonovanWrites. You know I don’t know how to behave. I went a little bit deeper with my usual emotional reveal this week. Well in the wording of and the complex sentence structure. It may look simple but some words had to be rearranged several times to get what I wanted. @RonovanWrites
Pat B.: Defined Refined | A season and a time. The two definitions of Haiku. I think they are most appropriate. Pat is one of our Blogger blogs. So she visits us, not from WordPress. I like that. Crossing platforms and consistently so. Her participation, I feel, opens our challenge and community to others.
Annie: Haiku Is For You | Gentle Kindness. Um, that’s the title I could come up with. I lost count in the number of Haiku written. Go on over yonder and y’all see what I mean.
D.B. Mauldin (Author): What it is | mama bear musings. More definitions and understandings of what Haiku is all about. As well as what it does for a person intellectually and emotionally. Check out the Author link for offerings on Amazon and click HERE for the About page links to other online distribution such as Smashwords. @dmauldin3
Olga: Haiku and Mind(ful) | Stuff and what if. I wanted to share the image used for this one. It was a team effort. A spin taken on a suggestion from her daughter. The end result is simplistic, Haiku, and very beautiful to observe. In other words it’s a Haiku in it’s own form.
Swatiu: Entertaining Thoughts | imgrowing. Okay, I have to admit I don’t quite get this one. That first line? Well I do have one thought as to why that first line. But I am certain every visitor will saw “awwww” as soon as they click over. She may have figured out one of my soft spots.
Steven S. Walsky (Author): A Barista’s Conundrm | Simplicity Lane. I am wondering if we’re getting a glimpse inside the life of Steven. And the exchange with Clarence in comments was entertaining. Click the Author link above to go to Steven’s blog where you will find all the available places for each book. He’s varied.
Marje: Haiku’s on My Mind/Haiku Mind Games/No Impossibles/Reach Your Starry Dreams | Kyrosmagica. Yes, that’s four Haiku from our blog breaking friend. On a break but she decided to combine several challenges into one, two of them being mine and the other being Colleens’. Of Course Colleen is on a moving break. Now a waiting for wifi break. @Marjorie_Mallon
R. Todd: In the Mind… | A Flash of Fiction. Well, I have to say, he’s got a point. And I also want to say I like the formatting of the post layout of the text. Mainly how he notes the challenge name. Different and almost out of the line of sight. Yes, I want the challenge to be promoted so as many people are visited as possible, but I also have this thing about having it promoted. I’m a bit Haiku Minded on the issue. @psibrone
Dr. Kottaway: Clear Mind | KO Rural Mad As Hell Blog. I am enjoying seeing how Haiku is thought of by each person. Each person has the same general idea and result in regards to what it does. Awesome.
J Lapis: Caution: Haiku Mind At Work | DarkLight Harbor. The Haiku mind does make one scale down thoughts and emotions to the bare bone.
Ruby Manchanda: A haiku takes shape | Whispering Thoughts. Um, yeah, the title sort of explains it. Made it kind of easy on me. Another of our Blogger blog friends.
Jane Dougherty (Author): Gems Inspired | Jane Dougherty Writes. Do you ever visit some of the Haiku and wonder how people are able to put these words together and even think in words such as they use? I feel so common at times. Check out Jane’s books on Amazon at the Author link above. @MJDougherty33
Janice: Burning Aztec Soul | Ontheland. A cool lesson this week. Not so much a lesson lesson but something learned in a pleasant visual sort of way. @ontheland1
Daniel Schwamm: Lively Words | Musing Life’s Mysteries. I enjoyed this one a lot. I think he makes an excellent point. There is something about poetry in so few words. @danSchwamm
Becky G: Rhymed her Mind | Becky G? Oh, that’s me! Did my title for her Haiku give it away?
Vashti Quiroz-Vega (Author): Haiku | The Writer Next Door. Vashti decided to go where no Vashti has gone before and back again. Check out Vashti on Amazon at the Author link above and you can see her interview by clicking HERE. @VashtiQV
Nagrij or (Greg Pierce) yeah, I snooped. (Author): Frustration | Nagrij Writes the Hits You Never Knew Existed. Um, I think I limited with my words this week. I didn’t think I did really. You can check out the list of books on Amazon by clicking the Author link above.

Florence: Don’t Mind It | Meanings And Musings. Florence shows us how Haiku works. That or she’s telling me it’s okay I don’t behave. Muahahahahaha. Okay, I know it wasn’t that funny, but I’ve been behaving during this review. @FTThum
Juliette: Keep Looking | Battered Wife seeking Better Life. I think she’s right. Our Haiku does tell us something. Especially if they come easily. @BWseeingBL
Melissa: A Short and Sharp Haiku | The Aran Artisan. Sometimes it does work this way. Once you begin doing Haiku and do it with a nature them, as we should but sometimes have fun in other ways, you begin to see Haiku everywhere. @thearanartisan

I try and behave
I’m not over love but through
Haiku I confess.
I try and behave, I’m not over love, but through.
I’m not over love but through Haiku I confess.
Remember I will not only reblogging the first entry, there will also be a reblog of another member of the Haiku Family. Since the Haiku comes out at the same time, some of you don’t get that opportunity to write a Haiku in your sleep. So, I’ve decided to give a person a week, in addition to the first entry, a reblog here on Ronovan Writes. Make certain you check back here on your reblog for comments. They do get them.
Challenge #69
The rules are simple.

Hoping Judy becomes my NaNo Buddy since I’m reblogging her this week. 🙂 Gotta support the NaNo sufferers. Click through to support her post!
I decided that I had to still take part in Ronovan’s weekly Haiku challenge despite trying to participate in NaNoWriMo as I would get withdrawal symptoms otherwise!
The prompt words actually gave me a hard time this week!
Anyway, here is what I made of it:
My mind is tortured;
Crashing, swirling thoughts break through;
A Haiku is born
Lady Red made it in first this week. Make certain to click through and show her you like her Haiku.
