my pleas…please. – a poem.

my pleas…please

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dreams unsharing,
thoughts so wrong.
Things your wearing.
spur me on.
What do you think I, feel when I see ya?
I’ve been stupid shy, this I can’t deny.
What is this cold fear, waitin’ for the all-clear?
Praying for a leap year, so I can see…you…dear…
That sinful grin,
jeans so tight.
I love it when,
you walk just right.
Skin so smooth
hair feels nice,.
Those fingertips,
I’ll pay the price.
This fire inside of me, is fighting to be free.
It needs hotter degrees., please hear my pleas.
Fire deep inside…
of me.
I’m on my…
knees.
I’m begging…
please.
Please hear my pleas.
Please hear my pleas.
Please hear my pleas.
brave your colors – a poem.
brave your colors
Separate roads spread, from shore to shore,
passing through towns, locked door after door.
Where once a neighborhood, or a community park,
now you will find are places filled with dark.
All shades, all hues, divide people from another,
but now they separate a sister from a brother.
Where once it was skin, and so it still is,
now it includes what politics is hers or his.
Red, blue, green, and more around the world.
In divisive times we must brave our flags unfurled.
No matter your age your religion or family,
in this great land, your thoughts are yours and they’re free.
What I fear most is we will fall to our enemy
where once there was democracy, there will be anarchy.
If you must battle through the generations,
fight right now for our nation’s foundations.
For tomorrow is not tomorrow, it’s in five, ten, or thirty years,
by standing up now the future will have fewer tears.
No One Can Understand
No One Can Understand
Cavan Images-Photonica
It’s my life to break, and I know what I can take
Too much every day, but I can’t seem to run away
I should know by now, there must be another way somehow
But I’m just the same, and I’ll always be to blame
I’m hopeless, hopeless for love,
No one can understand
What makes me this man
It always seems, that love is just a dream
No one can see me through, cause of the things that I do
Players play, and the bad boys are the way
But I don’t know the games, I just get burned by the flames
Why don’t I change, because this world seems so strange
I’m hopeless, hopeless for love
No one can understand
What make me this man
I walk the line, coming back time after time
No matter what the pain, no matter it drives me insane
They say loves not what I think, just pour up a drink
But I know what I know, and I just can’t seem to let go
I’m hopeless, hopeless for love
What makes me this man
I’m hopeless, love is in my sight
What makes me this man
I hold love with all my might
I’m hopeless
Hopeless for love
Yeah, I’m hopeless for love
My Youth No More
My Youth No More
by: Ronovan
I was part of the group that had brought him to us. Sure, I had been one of those with some doubts but in the end I thought it would be best for the church as a whole. Little did I know that it would destroy my ministry.
There were a number of years you might have called me that Super Christian. I was of the younger generation in the church and thus willing to volunteer for whatever needed to be done. One such thing was youth ministry. As a high school teacher it was only natural that I was drawn to the youth group. I had watched from afar, and then God stepped in and led me to volunteer to help out only to discover weeks later the Youth Pastor was leaving for seminary school and the duty of leadership fell to me.
Even stranger is the fact this happened twice. I helped hire the next Youth Pastor and then slowly stepped back to let him take over. But then with the coming of the new Pastor to our church that I alluded to earlier, things changed.
