RonovanWrites Weekly Wordless Haiku Challenge #13

Wordless Haiku ChallengeI first want to thank DazzlingWhimsy for creating this badge for the challenge.

#13

The rules are simple: For how to write a Haiku in English and using the 5/7/5 syllable pattern click here.

No words or numbers of any kind can appear in the images you use. This includes sign language . . . of any kind.

You can use just pictures and not put them in the format I have them here. I was being creative. The point of this is to have fun.

Moon Shadow of a Woman Tango DancersHeartbeat Stumbling Sign Man Falling Men Going in a BuildingHands in Shape of Heart Two arms with infinity tattoos

This is an example of one I created.

The Haiku was:

Moon Shadow Dancers

Heartbeats Stumble, falling in

Love Infinity

I know, not the best but it was better then the first one I posted.

Here’s the challenge; You created your own wordless Haiku for Wednesday or any day really, then either post a link in the comments here for everyone that visits to go see and/or ping back (or copy the URL for this post into your Haiku post) to this post in your Haiku post.

I will read it and comment on it. Once I comment come get the badge.

If some of you would like a theme to prompt you what to begin thinking of you can perhaps use. . .

Harvest & Fallow

What do the words mean to you, and how can you connect the two words through that second line? You do not have to do the prompt, it is just a prompt to make you start thinking of things.

From the Humorous to the Creepy, we had a bit of it all this week. You just never know how people will be inspired by certain words.

This week I thought I might begin to do a few categories of:

My Picks This Week

I’ve been avoiding it as I enjoy everyone’s Haiku. But sometimes a few just connect with me for an aha moment. And I decided why not? I just hate for people to think I don’t like their Haiku simply because another might have connected just a touch more for a given week.

Tale of two Tales: Battered Wife Seeking Better Life-She wrote one that really does the idea of the flip side of one idea of Haiku perfectly.

Humorous Haiku: Oh, this one has to be a tie this week. AC Elliot with his 4 offerings and then Elke with her Red Squirrels and Gnomes. Both made me laugh.

Hitting Home/Heart Haiku: Haiku has a way of cutting through the hot air of some of us and getting right to the point. Cyril Bussiere did that quite well for me this week. Then Becca wrote one that brought a memory back to me.

Look what you’ve done to me, oh oh.

Look what you’ve done to me, oh oh.

(A lyric poem-I know there have been a few lately, but I have these songs going through my head. If I could only write music or play an instrument.)

Ahh Tell you I see you now, clearly in . . . my . . . eyes, for the very . . .  first . . .  time.

Can’t seem to find . . . my . . . rest cause now I’ve come . . . to know the best, oh oh.

Oh, what have you done to me.

Thrillin’ to my knees, with your hummin’ melodies.

Oh!

What you’ve done to me.

I can’t stop it.

I can’t drop it.

I just gotta know once again and again.

Tell me it’s okay,  it’s not sin.

All my thoughts are crazy. Don’t know where to begin.

I once was man who could stand,

But now you’ve got me,

Got me on my knees, beggin’, beggin’, beggin’ please.

Done to me.

Done to me.

Got me on my knees beggin’, beggin’, beggin’ please.

Oh no! I don’t want it to end no no, oh no.

Never gonna stop, never gonna drop.

Gonna keep goin’ until this freakin’ world bangs bang  to an end

Blows up, and carries us away.

Don’t get me wrong, no no . . . oh no.

There is no wasted time, I’m glad to be a man, even when I can’t stand.

I love it when you got me beggin’, beggin’, beggin’ please. Yeah!

Only lessons.

Only Lessons (A Lyric Poem)

It hurts sometimes.engagement ring

I never knew that love was to be this way, just a tool.

Fairy tales and wedding veils are only meant for a fool.

Oh no, only for a fool.

I asked, Will you marry me? Would you be? Can’t you see? Oh my.

I asked, Will you marry me? Would you be? Can’t you see? My my.

No answers, no questions, no reasons, only lessons

My, my, oh my, my

We’ve shared our selves.

We’ve made love like Hell, and had a good time as well.

Would’ve thought that would make a chance, for that one time first dance.

No, not a dance this time.

I gave you  my life.

You took it without a question, taking all of my affection.

I guess that meant more to me, than maybe you thought it should be.

Not what it should be.

I asked, Will you marry me? Would you be? Can’t you see? Oh my.

I asked, Will you marry me? Would you be? Can’t you see? My my.

No answers, no questions, no reasons, only lessons

My, my, oh my, my

My, my, my oh my ring doesn’t fit your finger any longer.

This has turned into more than you thought, my love s0 much stronger.

I asked, Will you marry me? Would you be? Can’t you see? Oh my.

I asked, Will you marry me? Would you be? Can’t you see? My my.

No answers, no questions, no reasons, only lessons.

My, my, oh my, my

No answers . . . no questions . . .  no reasons . . .  only lessons . . .  my, my . . .  oh my, my

No reasons . . . only lessons . . . my my.

What am I?

There are things I can’t describe even with my words.

I see in my mind these thoughts that are distant that I want.

I can’t quite reach them but I know they need to be had.

They are like a wisp of mist as I almost touch them.

questions2

Why can’t they be tangible?

I can see them and know what they are.

I want them.

Why can they not just be?

Frustrations churn in my brain.

People wonder why I seem to be going insane.

I want to scream but then what would happen?

I would prove them right, that I am no longer capable of existing.

I simply want those thoughts, or are they dreams?

Am I dreaming these things that I see in my mind?questions1

How can one tell what is real and what is not?

I want to know reality.

But what if reality is so bad I cannot bear it?

What if the dream is protecting me from something?

What if I don’t need to know the truth?

Are there people letting me live a lie?

Questions3

What am I?

Am I really here and in this place?

Am I a make believe part of a fantasy of my own mind?

What if I never woke up that day?

What if this isn’t even happening?

To my darling . . .

To my darling . . .

It has been moments since we said ‘until next time’, as ‘goodbye’ is not a word we share. I already feel infinitely smaller with your absence. A many layered ghost of ice surrounds me and my universe as I think of you as you are so far away even after only short seconds of time have passed. I feel as though I am floating in a nothingness  I cannot touch or feel but cannot escape.

My thoughts are already swirling in confusion of images and feelings and wishes. One on top of the other on top of the other and repeating until there is no semblance of one cohesive thought. I must breathe. I close my eyes and squeeze them with all my strength to grab hold of just one wish, one feeling, one image to settle this loss inside.

I know there is no reason for this feeling of dread. I know that you love me. I know that we are one. But I know you are not here. I know you are moving further and further away. I know things can happen. I know I might never know. I know.

“Have a good night’s sleep and dream of me,” you say. I dare not for fear of what those dreams bring. Joy? Passion? A world of love not realized in a life ever existing? Yes, but also the disasters await. As my mind turns faces into images of heartbreak. Sleep is not of my world.

I am restlessly content in this world we have created. Through all the sleepless nights and days and the floating naked through cold dimensions of dark emptiness . . . I shout with joy that you are mine, I am yours. No matter the dread of feelings of confusion of images, I smile. My heart beats stronger and defeats all attacks. My mind with you as its partner fights against all doubts of self.

You make me who I am. I was nothing before you. My life was simply existing in a routine until you became my inspiration, my joy, my love. My heart was meant for love and you have allowed it to fulfill its purpose. With it I can do anything. No pain, no illness, no mental state, no . . . distance . . . is too much to overcome.

I feel every ounce of my love expanding inside of me ready to explode as my love grows for you and wishes to wrap you inside of it to feel what complete love is like. A love that is total. A love that includes every aspect of your being. A love that desires, respects, is amazed, awed, humbled, and completed by your existence. Before you knew I was, I loved you completely.

RosePoem2

Completed by the one who is ever inside my every molecule of life.

My skin is caressed by the air she has exhaled a world away and drifted to cover me.

My world rotates as her footsteps move the earth.

She is the one that inspires me to live life to the fullest and love with heart so completely.

I may die in a moment, a flash of an eyelash,

But I have experienced what perfection of love is to be.

How much can one man take and not erupt with joy?

If this time is over then I can say that no man has ever been loved as much as you have loved me.

Your Lover

Shattered pieces.

Words can’t escape from my head.shattered_pieces

Sometimes I think it might be better off dead.

It doesn’t considerate much at all.

I tend to blame it all . . . on the fall.

Maybe I’m just a bit naive.

Or perhaps I simply self deceive.

Round and round the matters flow.

But doesn’t matter where they all go?

I’m terrified of a sound.

Shadows follow me all around.

Wherever I go there they are.

Is there such a place as too far?

Tempered thoughts slash to the core.

They remind of things that were no more.

Angry letters in a row.

All I really ever can do is put on a picture show.

It’s much too late for sorry now.

The deed I’ve done has been written down.

Damaged cells in my mind.

Added to the others so easy to find.

It’s easy to forget, when you have no need for a net. Then you fall you shatter to pieces, because your guard was let down and your defense ceases.

I try to write but all I get is hit

Sunglasses Dark

I try to write but all I get is hit.

I can’t finish a sentence before someone starts talkin’ some . . .

I just want to sit here and speak my peace.

Why can’t they all stop, make their jabbering  cease?

Oh man you’re just on a burnout  quest.

I’m not part of it, I’m better than all the rest.

What, serious, are you freakin’ out of your mind?

You’re one of the biggest of the whacked out kind.

Look at me, do I look like I’m okay?

Do you hear my words, listen to what I say?

No, I can tell that you don’t hear,

Cause if you did you would just disappear.

Don’t look at me like that, trying to make me feel bad.

I’ve been dealing with your crap before you even knew you were sad.

So why don’t you give it a rest?

Don’t you know it would be for the best?

But, no, uh uh, you don’t know even have a clue,

My biggest dilemma is what to do with you.

Only one thing keeps it all from breakin’ loose.

I’m not ready for no hangman’s noose.

I’m here, and I’m stayin’, nothin’ gonna change that.

So just you back off real quick and stop actin’ like a brat.

I tell you this once so listen real clear, if you think this is about you,

Then ask yourself why do you think it could be true?

Sick of it!

Sick of it!

Sunglasses Dark

I gotta ask this cause I’m tired of all the whack,

Why do the tender hearted always end up busted up and jacked?

You make me sick to my stomach and illin’ in my brain,

Leavin’ a trail behind you like some Depends leakin’ stain.

You think you’re somethin’ when you ain’t but an old fool.

Pick up your lip cause you be slippin’ in your drool.

Why is a woman who has the looks and is so sweet,

Gets used up like some little kids basket of a  Halloween treat?

Yeah, I’m angry and I’m fed up with the walkin’ dung heap,

Slippin’ and slidin’ around like he is somethin’ when he’s really so cheap.

Nah, I ain’t so nice, I call you like I see you.

You’re a blue pill poppin’ womanizin’ slut jack who just want’s a hole to do.

It’s been a while since my words have been like this so crazy.

When my friends get played, used, the fog rolls in and my patience gets lazy.

I wish at times I were the type to just stomp the punks in the ground.

Lucky for y’all I have control and my brain in that sense is sound.

For those of you with your salt water tans,

Along with your sycophant barely legal fans,

How’s it feel when you look in your mirror,

When the Devil is starin’ over your shoulder smilin’ cause you’re one second nearer?

Would you . . .

The night is a brilliant body shimmering to attract the eye to its delights.

It pales compared to your skin, lit and covered only by window revealed moonlight.

Thoughts of gently touching you, and tracing your curves, every last one control my mind.

Would you be surprised as my lips flowed across your body to memorize every last detail I find?

Amber radiates with a warmth to the heart and holds the universes mysteries inside.

But it is like midnight beside your eyes as they hold mine enslaving me to a joy denied.

I see you looking into the distance as the light catches ever facet of every jewel and my breath stops.

Would you hide them if you knew my life revolves around their expression and if hurt my heart drops?

The ocean brings waves of  release at night as the moon glimmers over a never ending flowing life giving peace.

Your strands of silken splendor cause amnesia of all other flowing expanses as I long to feel them against my cheek.

Sensations of gentleness flowing down my skin shiver me to my very bone.

Would you blush at what thoughts you bring to this man who is yours alone?

Heavenly bodies span the skies to guide the world in its travels through time in a divine arrangement.

They are as easy as a child compared to your words flowing from a mind filling me with amazement.

Challenges to thought, perception, and the meanings of life and love are what you bring to me.

Would you be frightened to travel inside my mind for a brief moment to see what you have made me be?

If some of you would like a theme to prompt you what to begin thinking of you can perhaps use. . .

Sugar & Spice

What do the words mean to you, and how can you connect the two words through that second line? You do not have to do the prompt, it is just a prompt to make you start thinking of things.

REWIND #10

The prompt words were Create &Destroy.

Provided by Sian the Prompt Girl and Ronovan.

Surprising what people came up with. I really had no idea what to expect from this prompt.

It was only fair that Sian the Prompt Girl did a Haiku this week. I asked for uplifting words because my own had been so dark lately. So she gives an evil grin and says Fluffy and Rainbow. There was no changing her mind.

Sian of Prompt Girl: “Excellent!”-Colleen of Silver Threading
