“About freakin’ time he woke up, freakin wuss,” said Frida. I was so not believin’ this one.

LAW2P2.1 - Copy
“Well you did hit him pretty hard, Cat,” said Jenna. “The poor guy doesn’t really need any more knocks on the head from what our files show.”

RonHeadDown - Copy
“Was that really necessary?” I asked, my head throbbing. And I had a strange urge to disco dance that I fought back.

“I’ll tell you when it’s necessary or not, got it?” Cat said in what I had come to know as her friendly tone. I still peed a little.
“I’ll tell you when it’s necessary or not, got it?” Cat said in what I had come to know as her friendly tone. I still peed a little.

Salvation was nearby. “His friend is in trouble and I don’t think he was expecting anything like us . . . or this,” Jen said with a wave of her hand. “Or you hitting him in that head of his so he couldn’t see the L.A.W. mobile.”

BdayCoveringMouth
Once I stop watching her fingers waving and realized she was not talking about her hand, I had to admit she was right. The L.A.W. mobile was not exactly what I would have expected. It wasn’t like it wasn’t doing the job, but it wasn’t really suited for an extra person, and not a guy for sure. This craft was made for women and it was almost like it resented me being inside it. What was this thing made of anyway? I felt nauseous and the women were all smiling, even Cat was a little. Suddenly we were thrown against the back of our seats.

Elena - Copy
“Amira, what did you do?” Elena asked her sister from the one of the two pilot seats. I really didn’t know who was driving the thing. Would you call one sister the pilot in front of the other therefore making her the co-pilot? I didn’t think so.

Amira5
I felt the craft level out. “Might have been turbulence, but let’s play it safe and turn on the cloaking system,” said Amira. I saw Elena lean forward and press something. My somewhat happy mood turned a little darker for some reason.

caramel_kiss

“What are you looking at?” Cat asked. I came to my senses and realized I was leaning on her from the sudden turbulence and was absentmindedly staring at her legs while thinking.

“I . . . um . . . sorry,” I managed as I sat back upright.

Kate2 - Copy
“Cat, let’s trade seats,” said Kate. Kate sat down and smiled at me with her head slightly to the side. “Aren’t you lucky to have such a great neighbor to keep an eye on your son B since you had to leave suddenly with no one else home?” “Oh . . . yeah, right,” I was lucky indeed.

Jelly_Baby_Head
“I said no!” Mr. Jelly Baby said. “But I need to watch it. I have to find out what happened,” said B. “My people have forbidden even his name being mentioned in our presence.” B looked at the normally jolly Mr. Jelly Baby and had no idea why he would have a problem with watching Dr. Who.

Kate3
Kate3 “And that’s why my daughters had to shave the monkey,” Kate said finishing her story. I seriously needed some biscuits and gravy about now. Comfort food always helps in times like this. Hmm . . . apparently I’ve been in a lot of times like this. Is that a chandelier behind her or is she wearing a tiara?

BDayStillBored
“But what happened to the harmonica?” I asked Kate.

Kate smiled. “Well now every time our dog Romeo sneezes . . . let’s just say he plays a little tune.”

Okay I would take a Coke with some peanuts now, anything. I wonder if Hugh put peanuts in his Coke in England. He would probably put them in tea if he did anything with them at all.

“We’re not far out now,” said Amira.

“Where?” I asked.

Elena2
Elena looked back and smiled. “Texas.”

She had been thinking what I had. There had been only one person either of us who could think of who would have it in for Hugh and the British, and that person had been planning for years by hiding in plain sight in Texas. What a brilliant plan. (And when did she do the wardrobe change?)

Lubbock

Who is the L.A.W. after in Lubbock?

Who in Lubbock would have it in for our friend Hugh in England?

Come back next time and find out who and the reveal of why there is craziness going on all around Hugh in . .  .

RonovanWrites Weekly #Haiku Prompt Challenge #12 Study & Creature

RW Weekly Haiku ChallengeBadge provided by DazzlingWhimsy.

#12

Welcome to this weeks Haiku prompt challenge.

(Not the Wordless with Pictures. That one is out at 12:00 Noon New York Time.)

If you want to refresh yourselves on a bit of Haiku in English, although you do not have to stick to that particular style of Haiku, it’s just my particular style to use, click here.

For Tips and Guidelines refreshers click here.

This weeks two words to use in some form, meaning you can use another word that means the same thing are:

 Before you start!

I have a link that will help you out. Remember for Haiku in English the total syllables are 5 for the first line, 7 for the second, and 5 for the last. This the Haiku I use. I don’t really hold people to that for this but if you want to do it in the 5/7/5 manner, the traditional way, then try that. The link I have for you is . . . howmanysyllables.com. Simply type in the word and find out how many syllables it has. Also for synonyms and antonyms go to thesaurus.com, I find it useful for finding a word to fit the meaning when syllables are not working out right.

The prompts!

Study & Creature

(Both from Sian this week. Yes, she is in major study mode at the moment.)

My Example

 #1

Creature of beauty,

Cause of countless sleepless nights,

Requires more study.

DEADLINE: Noon on Sunday New York Time.

(I hate doing deadlines, but it takes quite a while to complete the rewind.)

I’ll comment and also choose the ones that knock me down for one reason or the other and link back to them in my Weekly Rewind telling people how great they were and why I picked them. Eventually these will turn into categories.

Much respect

A most excellent quote for all writers.

Ronovan Writes Weekly Wordless Haiku Challenge #12

Wordless Haiku ChallengeI first want to thank DazzlingWhimsy for creating this badge for the challenge.

#12

The rules are simple: For how to write a Haiku in English and using the 5/7/5 syllable pattern click here.

No words or numbers of any kind can appear in the images you use. This includes sign language . . . of any kind.

You can use just pictures and not put them in the format I have them here. I was being creative. The point of this is to have fun.

Moon Shadow of a Woman Tango DancersHeartbeat Stumbling Sign Man Falling Men Going in a BuildingHands in Shape of Heart Two arms with infinity tattoos

This is an example of one I created.

The Haiku was:

Moon Shadow Dancers

Heartbeats Stumble, falling in

Love Infinity

I know, not the best but it was better then the first one I posted.

Here’s the challenge; You created your own wordless Haiku for Wednesday or any day really, then either post a link in the comments here for everyone that visits to go see and/or ping back (or copy the URL for this post into your Haiku post) to this post in your Haiku post.

I will read it and comment on it. Once I comment come get the badge.

If some of you would like a theme to prompt you what to begin thinking of you can perhaps use. . .

Grace & Chaos

What do the words mean to you, and how can you connect the two words through that second line? You do not have to do the prompt, it is just a prompt to make you start thinking of things.

You & I (this is my Sunday Thought for the day)

To my darling . . .

To my darling . . .

It has been moments since we said ‘until next time’, as ‘goodbye’ is not a word we share. I already feel infinitely smaller with your absence. A many layered ghost of ice surrounds me and my universe as I think of you as you are so far away even after only short seconds of time have passed. I feel as though I am floating in a nothingness  I cannot touch or feel but cannot escape.

My thoughts are already swirling in confusion of images and feelings and wishes. One on top of the other on top of the other and repeating until there is no semblance of one cohesive thought. I must breathe. I close my eyes and squeeze them with all my strength to grab hold of just one wish, one feeling, one image to settle this loss inside.

I know there is no reason for this feeling of dread. I know that you love me. I know that we are one. But I know you are not here. I know you are moving further and further away. I know things can happen. I know I might never know. I know.

“Have a good night’s sleep and dream of me,” you say. I dare not for fear of what those dreams bring. Joy? Passion? A world of love not realized in a life ever existing? Yes, but also the disasters await. As my mind turns faces into images of heartbreak. Sleep is not of my world.

I am restlessly content in this world we have created. Through all the sleepless nights and days and the floating naked through cold dimensions of dark emptiness . . . I shout with joy that you are mine, I am yours. No matter the dread of feelings of confusion of images, I smile. My heart beats stronger and defeats all attacks. My mind with you as its partner fights against all doubts of self.

You make me who I am. I was nothing before you. My life was simply existing in a routine until you became my inspiration, my joy, my love. My heart was meant for love and you have allowed it to fulfill its purpose. With it I can do anything. No pain, no illness, no mental state, no . . . distance . . . is too much to overcome.

I feel every ounce of my love expanding inside of me ready to explode as my love grows for you and wishes to wrap you inside of it to feel what complete love is like. A love that is total. A love that includes every aspect of your being. A love that desires, respects, is amazed, awed, humbled, and completed by your existence. Before you knew I was, I loved you completely.

RosePoem2

Completed by the one who is ever inside my every molecule of life.

My skin is caressed by the air she has exhaled a world away and drifted to cover me.

My world rotates as her footsteps move the earth.

She is the one that inspires me to live life to the fullest and love with heart so completely.

I may die in a moment, a flash of an eyelash,

But I have experienced what perfection of love is to be.

How much can one man take and not erupt with joy?

If this time is over then I can say that no man has ever been loved as much as you have loved me.

Your Lover

Shattered pieces.

Words can’t escape from my head.shattered_pieces

Sometimes I think it might be better off dead.

It doesn’t considerate much at all.

I tend to blame it all . . . on the fall.

Maybe I’m just a bit naive.

Or perhaps I simply self deceive.

Round and round the matters flow.

But doesn’t matter where they all go?

I’m terrified of a sound.

Shadows follow me all around.

Wherever I go there they are.

Is there such a place as too far?

Tempered thoughts slash to the core.

They remind of things that were no more.

Angry letters in a row.

All I really ever can do is put on a picture show.

It’s much too late for sorry now.

The deed I’ve done has been written down.

Damaged cells in my mind.

Added to the others so easy to find.

It’s easy to forget, when you have no need for a net. Then you fall you shatter to pieces, because your guard was let down and your defense ceases.

A walk through time. It’s a Friday Flashback.

Is there a better decade than the 80s?  That’s not really a question. It’s one of those rhetorical things. You know, like asking which is better, Coke or Pepsi. We all know it’s Coke. Yes, I stand before you . . . I sit before you a child of . . . a teen of the 80s. (Hey, I was fetus in 69.)

It’s time for a walk down memory lane. I made a funny there. tee hee hee. Okay now on with the show and just a bit of nostalgia time. I literally have no idea where this is headed so let’s see what I come up with.

MTVThat’s right everyone MTV. You think you guys are so cool with all your music and things. Well my generation made it happen. That’s right. I wanted my MTV first. Yeah, Music Television. Not sure what it is now. Okay enough of that gif, I think I might get sick. Before MTV there was Friday Night Videos and when I say night I mean NIGHT. It was so night it was actually Saturday when they came on. Before MTV I had no idea what She Bop meant. Thank you Cyndi Lauper. I know, some of you just asked “Who’s Cyndi Lauper?”

madonna1

This is not Cyndi Lauper.

And if you mention MTV you have to mention Madonna. Oh yeah, back when she actually looked good for real. Miley Cyrus and all you other wannabes, this is the originator of controversy and she did it for real, not for being an adolescent trash bag. Yeah, I said it. Mean much? Yeah, I can be. Just disappointed in what could have been an awesome talent. I wonder if Madonna knows what She Bop means.

aha

The most awesome video ever Aha’s Take On Me. I still geek out whenever I come across this on the internet. If for some reason you haven’t seen it, you need to look it up. This is consistently voted one of the top music videos of all time. From my understanding the guy didn’t even speak English, he just learned to sing the song in English. Well if that’s so, then he did a rockin’ job.

maxheadroom

Max Headroom, stop laughing. How many almost computer animated characters had their own show in the 80s? Yeah, that’s him. A show ahead of its time and that’s probably why it got away with some of the cheesy looks, but it was cool.

backtothefutureamp

That is some serious major ampage there dude.

backtothefuturemarty

Oh, it’s Marty. Back to the Future. What happened?

backtothefuture

Oops, my bad, I forgot to tell it was broken, Marty.

Now it’s time for a commercial break.

ernest

What, you don’t know who that guy is, was? Something like that. Wow, fer rizzle my frizzles? Dude, my high school football coach had a cardboard mask of this guy with a rubber band on it. And yes, the coach taught History. Imagine that in the South, right? Well in class he ducked down and came up wearing it. We all just sat there like nothing happened. Practice wasn’t great that day.

WeirdScience

Oh look, it’s Iron Teen, I mean Weird Science guy. That’s right, meet Iron Man in his first movie role in the movie Weird Science. Ugly Guy wasn’t he.

johnnydeppfirstrole

Oh and look, Captain Jack Sparrow in his first role in the first Nightmare on Elm Street movie. It’s a brief part, just sayin’. If you’re squeamish, don’t watch a clip of it. Blood everywhere. Really hurl worthy, I tell you.

walkman

I wonder if he lost his iPod during that scene. Oh, this isn’t an iPod? Walkman? Oh yeah, I think mine is still somewhere at my parents house. I tell you they really bit the big one if you tried to listen to it and cut grass at the same time. Wonder if it’s next to my 8 Track of Elvis singing Blue Hawaii?

neverendingstory

Ah a kinder gentler moment with the Never Ending Story. Big fluffy dog dragon thingy and hmm I wonder where the rock thingy that road the rock bicycle is these days.

ghostbusterszapped

Okay guys, the dog dragon thingy didn’t do anything to you and he wasn’t a ghost. Yep. Ghostbusters. Now who you gonna call? I wonder if it is politically correct to call them ghosts these days or is there another name they prefer. Do you think they have some sort of advocacy group or lobby group in Washington? Do you think they are going to sue Bill Murray?

valkilmerrealgenius

Dude, the Ghostbusters put Ice Man in the upside down position. That took Real Genius. Yeah, that’s the name of the movie. This was his second movie role after Top Secret! No I’m not excited, there was an exclamation on the end of the title. Anyone remember that movie? I looked it up. I don’t think it was my amnesia making it hard to remember.

karatekid

There we go, we need some peace and quiet, a master to teach us the ways of the force. Wait, the ways of the whooping cough. No the crane, yes the crane. Do you guys remember who this is and what movie it is? And better still, what show was he in before this that made him famous?

standbyme

Stand By Me. That’s River Phoenix on our right. Would be one of the big guys today but he was one of the first of a generation to die of drugs. Things started snowballing after that it seemed.

indianajones

And we had other classic movies and series start in the 80s.

ferrisbuellersings

And look at that. Bueller . . . Bueller . . . Bueller.

outsiderssodapop

Yep, Sodapop Curtis. Or you might know him as Rob Lowe. What, you didn’t know that was his name? Yeah, he was a Greaser too. He felt like an Outsider in his younger days. Yep, this was his big screen debut.

prettyinpinkducky

Isn’t that just Duckie?  Yep, before Two and a Half Men Jon Cryer was after Molly Ringwald in Pretty in Pink. This may have been his third movie appearance but this is the one that made him and he stole the movie from everyone. Annie Potts was in it as well, yes the woman from Designing Women. Oh hush, I know you know that show.

And one of the greatest movies of the 80s if not the best movie ever representing the various groups of high school in an honest way. The Breakfast Club.

Virtual Blog Tour brought to you by the letter K or maybe D? Hmm…

Ron_Hoodie_Glitter

HEY Y’ALL!

I got selected for a Virtual Blog Tour by a very special lady. I’ve grown fond of her being around of late and enjoy each time I see the star light up at the top of the screen and see it’s her. (I feel the same about you too, Hugh, so stop pouting.)

Katherine of Dandelion Fuzz kat

I guess just went blank when it came time for her second choice and I happened to be on her reader. What a great supporter of my blog and what I do. Such a great addition to my little world.

Look at this big empty space. It’s like a clean dry erase board in schools these days.  For those of you my age, think chalkboard but with like markers and a white board you can wipe things off of.

What am I working on?

Everyone’s last nerve. No, seriously, I want to be a dentist. No actually the only nerve I think I am working is my own. I am slowly working on a Romance novel revision. I think it’s going to have to take priority soon, which means less blogging. I keep saying that but I keep meaning it.

The big thing I am working on now is a new site called Lit World Interviews which I created as a way to give authors a place to have an interview to use for their sites and press packets but to also spread their names. I’ve been fortunate to have some great people agree to interviews so far but I think my biggest break has been one of those authors, Jo Robinson agreeing to join the LitWorldInterviews Team as an expert in self publishing and writing advice.

How does my blog differ from others in its genre?

I really don’t know if my blog has a genre, not RonovanWrites that is. If I think it I write it. It doesn’t mean it always works but I enjoy doing it, and that’s what we should all remember what a blog is about. I think I do like to support other bloggers that might fall between the cracks at times. I’m not afraid to say I enjoy a person’s writing even if their site my be a little different than my normal viewing. You get what you want out of a blog you visit. That’s one thing I enjoy about visiting blogs, I can pick and choose what I want to see. And I don’t judge. Some people just like to write some different things. Maybe not my deal but excellent writing itself.

I also think there is a bit of a community thing I’ve tried to build up. Also I think some friendships I’ve made have been good for the blog in sharing each others space. Hugh Roberts of Hugh’s Views &News is one and Amanda Lyle of insidethelifeofmoi is the other that immediately come to mind.

My tips I share are a bit more, well they’re very detailed in instructions about how to do certain things but I try to put them in a language and a way that anyone can use them. Even when talking about Search Engine Optimization, SEO, I describe things in a way that is easy to understand, or I hope so. One recent article got picked up by site that deals in such things and that was a bit gratifying. I don’t normally talk about it when my work gets picked up but I enjoyed that one quite a bit.

Why do I create what I do?

I have to create or I go slightly crazy. I have all these emotions and thoughts inside that if they don’t come out I will explode. Romance has really hit me hard this past year. Putting my heart into something and sharing it from a man’s thoughts seemed a bit unusual to me. I mean really sharing the deep things. I do it on my site quite often. I’m not sure what kind of image that relays, but you gotta be yourself, right?

I had one person say something like I might be like contributing to a gender war because I support women so much on my site and might come off as bashing men. I would really like to see anyone find anything untrue that I’ve said. I usually give a good and bad side to things. My serious things don’t go over well. I guess people that read me go for my lighter stuff. I don’t know really. That does sadden me a bit as I really would like to share more things that I feel a bit passionate about but I don’t want to turn people away either. I enjoy my friends here.

How does your creative process work?

I think it then I write it. A poem for me takes about 10 minutes max to write. For those I just like to have it quite, calm, settled and then I open myself up and let the words come out. I usually close my eyes so nothing interferes with the images in my head or influences the feelings coming out.

I’ve started digging deeper for my poetry. I don’t think I’ve gone much below the surface of what I feel yet. I’m still trying and some day I’ll make it. There’s a certain level of fear you need to get over to dig those things you bury to protect.

I love writing novels about whatever. Like a teen girl traipsing through some wild places looking for the solution to a mystery, to a future world where the earth has been contaminated and there is an alternate form of living. But Romance is king at the moment.

What is a quote or two that sums you up?

“I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for the salvation of all those who believe, first the Jew and then the Gentile.”-Romans 1:16

“Love your neighbor as yourself.” Mark 12:31

There might be a word different here or there from the original as I am doing that from memory. There are some things that never leave you.

Now I get to choose two people to pass the torch to.

I think I’ll choose my buddy Hugh of Hugh’s Views and News.

hugh

What can I say about Hugh that will sum him up? Madness. I don’t mean that in a bad way. I enjoy madness. I told Hugh not long ago that he is one of the best friends I have, period. He’s a great guy. He writes everything, random like I am. Hmm . . . we both like Oreos. I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Love those cream filled cookies/biscuits/whatever. He’s British, as I learned is the proper way to refer to someone over yonder across the pond. But seriously, Hugh’s a lovely guy that everyone really adores when the get to know him.

Second I’ll choose Kate of Dazzling Whimsy.

KateKate’s an actual friend of mine I’ve known for years. She has three great kids that I love to pieces. I claim her daughters as mine. It’s not like they can hit me or anything, we live several states apart. Kate’s site is filled with photography. I know you’re thinking all those photography sites, but she has a story for each one. One is about the flower she has that is from the bulb or something that belonged to her grandmother or great grandmother and has traveled with her to where she lives. I mean do you get that on every photography site?

No she didn’t take the picture and didn’t do all the bling. I did the bling. That’s what she gets for making me an editor on her site while she was starting back the first week of the school year. Yeah, she’s a teacher so I helped her out on her blog for a few days. Oh and to show you why I love her kids so much. Yeah, I blinged it too. Love the glitter. (They hated it.)

Kate's Girls

Well that’s all for me. I look forward to what these two have to offer up to us in the near future.

“All three stories offer a great insight into psychological work and naturally allow the wonderfully interesting characters to be explored with depth and analytical sharpness.
On the way the author manages to include deep thoughts aboout a variety of subjetcs, making this a thoughtful and enjoyable read.”-ChristopherFischerBooks

“Through the genuinely interesting characters in her book, Olga weaves a so quite spellbinding study into the dynamics of life. Once one begins reading, it really truly IS difficult to put down. “– Dr. Glen Hepker (author of “A Glimpse of Heaven: The Philosophy of True Health)

“Olga Nunez Miret writes with a fine eye for the minutiae of human motivations and interactions. I, for one, hope this is not the last we have seen of the author’s central character, the reluctant psychiatrist, Mary. She deserves more outings than a paltry three.”-Diogenes

Writing Tip: Should you try to write in a genre style?

What genre do you write in? When you sit down to start your novel, what is it going to be able as far as what area of the book store or category on Amazon will it show up?

genresI could make this a long article, but I won’t. An author friend of mine and I were talking about a Romance I wrote, or two actually and that I wrote them having never read a Romance. The stories were really Love novels to me, but as for genre they would likely be called Romance.

I set out to write a Romance as a challenge to do something outside of my comfort zone and have discovered I love the basic ideas of the genre, but I had no idea what elements went into a Romance. I simply wrote the novels.

You see what you do is sit down and write your story. Pour everything into it, and then when you finish . . . find out what your genre is. The book will fall into some genre. Just tell your story from your heart. You can tell a science fiction robot story from the heart because you are putting all you have into a piece of your work. If you’re not doing that then I’m not sure why you are writing. I can’t write a novel, a poem, or short story without putting feeling it. I can’t even write this tip article without feeling emotions. If I don’t feel the pain of a character or have to walk away at times because of a decision I had to make in the book, then I shouldn’t be writing that story. (No characters were harmed in the creation of this article.)

Well those are my opinions. My opinions don’t mean there aren’t other ways to do it. Obviously people are doing it other ways and beings successful.

But for me and my tip today;

Don’t worry about your genre, just tell your story.

Get that genre thing out of your mind. It holds you back and is like some type of choke collar that keeps you from being creative because you think that something doesn’t fit right. No two books are alike, and no book is perfectly situated in one genre. A science fiction book, as an example has love, adventure, thriller and more in it, but it’s called science fiction because of the setting. So get out of the way of your words and write.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly… of being Attractive

Earlier this week an article went up on insidethelifeofmoi, Amanda Lyle’s blog. I reblogged it here, but I know reblogs don’t work that great.

So why am I mentioning it?

I am the co-author of this article that took us a lot of thought to put together. People look at the title and think there can’t be anything Bad or Ugly about being Attractive and see no point in reading it. Or perhaps they think because it is has too many words.

It has that many words because we gave each point thought and went into it, not in a scientific manner but in a way that we all can understand. Those reading it have actually been surprised at how it made them think more about the situation.

I would appreciate you reading it. Do I ask that you click ‘like’? Not unless you like it. But I would like it to be read by my friends. There is humor in the reality of some of it and the sadness of it as well. So click below and see what it’s about. And no, I did not pose for the picture. We thought mine was too sexy.

My Loves: A Man’s Testimony of Heart

What kind of love do men feel? I considered searching for opinions and comparing them to what I come up with, but then I decided that since I am writing this from a man’s perspective, specifically mine, that I would just go with my own thoughts. After all, I’ve been told in the past there isn’t a doubt about my being a man. I’ve always taken that as a compliment.

shattered_heart.jpg

What love does a man feel? I could go into the various loves of sports and foods but I’m not doing that today. Instead I wanted to discuss the real things that pull, pound, and pulverize the heart. The kinds of love that when they don’t go right, leave you feeling like you have the worst flu any man can ever have.

This is about loves for a woman. This is about the loves that men don’t talk about. This about the loves men deny that have to their friends. But if you are a man and you say you’ve never had one of these loves, then . . . count yourself blessed or else have an exam done because you are in denial.

Men get those loves. Is there a level order of love? Men think much of order in things like this. I’m not sure why and I don’t really care to delve into the why. At this moment my heart is on loves. I often wonder when it isn’t.

I see no reason to not just say I as I write this. Why not say man or men? I’m speaking from what I know. I am sure other men feel or have felt what I might talk about, but this is me. As I begin this I have no plan. What you read will be whatever comes out of me as I go. Think of this as an open heart letter unedited.

My Loves: A Man’s Testimony of Heart

Love from afar. I know her but she’s out of reach. The thought of her for a moment makes the world lighter than air but then the aching heart begins. My mind quickly tells me the truth. I fight it. I don’t want to know the truth, I just want those moments of happiness, even if they are illusions and delusions. They only harm me. Why can I not enjoy them for a moment?

I try to write but all I get is hit

Sunglasses Dark

I try to write but all I get is hit.

I can’t finish a sentence before someone starts talkin’ some . . .

I just want to sit here and speak my peace.

Why can’t they all stop, make their jabbering  cease?

Oh man you’re just on a burnout  quest.

I’m not part of it, I’m better than all the rest.

What, serious, are you freakin’ out of your mind?

You’re one of the biggest of the whacked out kind.

Look at me, do I look like I’m okay?

Do you hear my words, listen to what I say?

No, I can tell that you don’t hear,

Cause if you did you would just disappear.

Don’t look at me like that, trying to make me feel bad.

I’ve been dealing with your crap before you even knew you were sad.

So why don’t you give it a rest?

Don’t you know it would be for the best?

But, no, uh uh, you don’t know even have a clue,

My biggest dilemma is what to do with you.

Only one thing keeps it all from breakin’ loose.

I’m not ready for no hangman’s noose.

I’m here, and I’m stayin’, nothin’ gonna change that.

So just you back off real quick and stop actin’ like a brat.

I tell you this once so listen real clear, if you think this is about you,

Then ask yourself why do you think it could be true?
