Hugh is Disappearing! What does Ronovan Do?: The LAW comes to town.

To come in at the beginning, although it’s not a must you might want to start with:

When Ronovan Met Miss Maple (On Skype) Part 1 – A Response to Ronovan at Ronovan Writes

By Hugh Roberts of Hugh’s Views & News

And then my part in response to him:

Extra! Extra! Rose & Ghun Bust Hugh Roberts For Letter Hoarding!

I was rubbing my eyes from lack of sleep when Miss Maypole blurted out we were losing Hugh. When I looked back to the screen they had disconnected. I guess they were getting in touch with that Eloise Mellow person.

Losing Hugh was not really a pleasing idea. I still had his different hats he sent me for my son B’s school project. Hugh had seemed very fond of the Native American war bonnet. Sometimes I just didn’t ask. I had already seen Hugh dancing and the imagery was too vivid to go there. I had seen his anxious look when he saw the hats earlier.

Hugh Loaded

Plus I had to admit, Hugh was a sexy man. (Did I say that out loud or was that a thought? It’s fine, I’m in touch with my masculinity and that other side of me. Brad Pitt’s hot and so is that Robert Downey Iron Man dude in a Weird Science kind of way.)

I did what I had to do, I flipped open my battered blue cased cell and hit the last number dialed. (Yes, I said flipped opened.)

“Ron, we’re already out of town,” said Rose.

“I know but things are getting worse. They tell me my h’s are missing now and if something isn’t done Hugh will disappear.”

There was silence for a moment on the other end of the line. Then I heard a lot of noise, a few screams, and possibly what I would have sworn was a grown man begging. “Ron, sorry but we can’t help you this time. We’re kind of busy. Call the LAW,” said Rose.

“LAW?” I asked. “The police?”

“No, the LAW, League of Awesome Women and they should be able to handle this. Listen, I’ll give them a call and they’ll be in contact with y . . . Ghun! Get him! Nooo not on the leather seats. Blood gets in the seams. Aw . . . man.” The phone went silent.

I held the phone frozen in place, wondering what I was getting into. LAW, Grammar Black Market, and I had to worry about sending Hugh back his Village People props, he had said something about doing a mix called Rocky Horror Village Show. I didn’t ask. I had seen his concern about the hats though. They had come in handy for the History of America project B had at school. I still wonder where he got the Native American headdress from. I was 1/8 Native American and didn’t have any Native American things.

The knock on the door about made me jump as I was wondering if Rose and Ghun would ever get married. Yes, I really am that random with thoughts. Since they had only known each other a few months I wasn’t sure where it would go, what with her aunt having been his old girlfriend . . . I barely had the door open when the group of hair and perfume shoved their way into my house. Okay actually not so much hair, but someone smelled of vanilla.

“Ummupload_vu41pgvlebvp4ufulvjufjr1p5228595.JPG-final(1), yeah,” I managed. The presence of actual women skeered me something fierce. At least Rose had been here with Ghun.

Before I knew it upload_vu41pgvlebvp4ufulvjufjr1p5228595.JPG-finalwomen were rummaging through my drawers everywhere. Then it suddenly dawned on me that these were some of my online Blog World friends.

Amira & Elena Makansi the Authors of The Sowing, Kate of Dazzling Whimsy, Cat of Obscured Dreamer, and Jenna of Jen’s Pen Den. It was major freak out time for me.

They were secretly part of some super smarticles group. Oh, no. They now knew how I lived. My secrets were out. The would know I blogged in underwear and ate Pringles by the cans each day along with 2 liter bottles of grape soda.

Wait, that’s not me. That must be some other blogger.

“Oh and it looks like they have it out for Hugh. The letters in his name are Jenna Loaded 1the ones that are missing,” I said. I couldn’t look at their faces and Jenna was still red. I was trying to remember what was in my room. Then I upload_vu41pgvlebvp4ufulvjufjr1p5228595.JPG-finalremembered my laptop and the screen saver. I died a little bit more.

That’s when it hit me, and I saw a look cross Elena’s face as well.

There is beauty in the unknown

But there is also danger

What is this that I have found

I should know you but you are a stranger

Your brilliance brought me to a stop

And I had to have you for my own

But I dare not touch you lest I be locked

But memento of our tryst to be shown

Now I long to know who you are

I share your beauty with others

For I cannot go another day

Or else my heart smothers

Yes a bit of my own photography. (Scary I know, and not good, but I love this photo. It was taken on an outing with my son ‘B’.)

High above the world.

I helped out a friend today as she is overloaded with real world life. Teacher, Mother, and so many other things. Her photography in My Home state atop the mountain that I used for my Perseverance photo last week. So her photo and my Haiku. Please visit her and follower her. She has amazing photography! I kid you not. (I’ve never typed that phrase before. Kinda weird.)

by Ronovan

Helping out today, I was given this photograph as inspiration. Kate picked it intentionally as it is one of her daughters standing atop Stone Mountain, oddly enough the subject of my wordless Wednesday photograph. To achieve the quality of shot Kate did here considering the haze one can obviously get from the atmosphere is exceptional. The richness of the coloring of her daughter is amazing. I know the rock that girl is standing on. These days I wouldn’t do it, but then again she is the one that was a flyer for competitive cheer for most her life.

My Haiku was an easy one to write when you take everything into account. You have a mother taking a photograph of her daughter high above the world. It took me only a very few moments to write…

How is Bloglovin’ doing for me and some other ideas.

Have you ever checked out where your views come from? If you are like a lot of bloggers you are just happy people show up to read what you offer. For others that are perhaps looking at this as a career thing they are more into details.

I come from a data analysis career. Not that I was one by training or choice, I just somehow had a knack for it and thus there you have it. The reason I look at the statistics we have available to us in or blogs is to see if I am wasting my time with some of the things I do.

I recently added Bloglovin’ to my blog. For those of you not aware, you can connect your blog to Bloglovin’ and people that don’t have an account with your blog world can follow your blog there instead. It’s a pretty cool set up. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now.

bloglovin

If you go to your stats page on WordPress and I suppose other blog platforms are similar you will find a ‘Summaries’ link to click on in the ‘Referrers’ section. This section lets you know where your traffic/visitors are coming from.

If you click on ‘Summaries’ in WordPress you get to see the totals by ‘Referrer’ for the last 7 days and you have other options a well. Well I wanted to see how my Bloglovin’ was doing bring traffic in. The reason I wanted to know is because I go through the trouble of putting the little ‘follow me on bloglovin’ image in each post I do and include a link to my Bloglovin’ page. You don’ t have to do it that way but it’s a way for a reader to see it for sure. Now if there isn’t much traffic coming from it, then why bother, right?

It turns out that Bloglovin’ for the past 7 days is the fourth largest ‘Referrer’ to my blog. The WordPress Reader is first, then Search Engines, then Twitter, then Bloglovin’.

What this means to me is, Bloglovin’ is worth it. You see, you may not have a lot of followers over on Bloglovin’ but people still see your posts and can click.  As i get better and better at blogging, at writing better post Titles and content then Bloglovin very well could move up.

One other thing you might won’t to think about is Google+. I have my blog linked all over the place. When a post goes out it also goes to Google+.  Here is the problem though. Now I’ve been looking for it and maybe you can help with it, but when you send a post there it is automatically set to private and just your circle of friends sees it. Great right? Sarcasm there a little, actually a  lot. So what I have to do is then go in and share it as public. I can’t find a way to set it to be default Public for my posts coming in from my blog.

google+If you are writing a post in Google+ and share it as Public, then your next post you write in Google+ is supposed to be Public. I think I’ve tried that and it worked. It’s just any scheduled items don’t do it. Is it worth it? Well I only recently noticed this problem was happening and really only recently connected with Google+ so I will have to get back to you. I have had some visitors though.

Happy Dancing Twitter Bird

Twitter is my third place provider of ‘Referrers’. This takes no effort really other than typing in some hashtag words in my ‘Publicize’ box  in my blog post editor. That’s right, I don’t even have to go to Twitter.  As long as I am connected to it, I’m good. I’ll give you a couple of cool tips for Twitter another day. I know people are scared of Twitter, but don’t be. It is not difficult at all.

So kick back and enjoy some simple ways to make your blog work for you.

Well that’s about it. Use what you want, ignore what you don’t, right?

Much Respect and Love to Y’all

Ronovan Writes Weekly Wordless Haiku Challenge #9

Wordless Haiku ChallengeI first want to thank DazzlingWhimsy for creating this badge for the challenge.

#9

The rules are simple: For how to write a Haiku in English and using the 5/7/5 syllable pattern click here.

No words or numbers of any kind can appear in the images you use. This includes sign language . . . of any kind.

You can use just pictures and not put them in the format I have them here. I was being creative. The point of this is to have fun.

Moon Shadow of a Woman Tango DancersHeartbeat Stumbling Sign Man Falling Men Going in a BuildingHands in Shape of Heart Two arms with infinity tattoos

This is an example of one I created last week.

The Haiku was:

Moon Shadow Dancers

Heartbeats Stumble, falling in

Love Infinity

I know, not the best but it was better then the first one I posted.

Here’s the challenge; You created your own wordless Haiku for Wednesday or any day really, then either post a link in the comments here for everyone that visits to go see and/or ping back (or copy the URL for this post into your Haiku post) to this post in your Haiku post.

I will read it and comment on it. Once I comment come get the badge.

If some of you would like a theme to prompt you what to begin thinking of you can perhaps use. . .

Skin & Heat

What do the words mean to you, and how can you connect the two words through that second line? You do not have to do the prompt, it is just a prompt to make you start thinking of things.

RonovanWrites Weekly Haiku Prompt Challenge #9

RW Weekly Haiku ChallengeBadge provided by DazzlingWhimsy.

#9

Welcome to this weeks Haiku prompt challenge.

(Not the Wordless with Pictures. That one is out at 12:00 Noon New York Time.)

If you want to refresh yourselves on a bit of Haiku in English, although you do not have to stick to that particular style of Haiku, it’s just my particular style to use, click here.

For Tips and Guidelines refreshers click here.

This weeks two words to use in some form, meaning you can use another word that means the same thing are:

 Before you start!

I have a link that will help you out. Remember for Haiku in English the total syllables are 5 for the first line, 7 for the second, and 5 for the last. This the Haiku I use. I don’t really hold people to that for this but if you want to do it in the 5/7/5 manner, the traditional way, then try that. The link I have for you is . . . howmanysyllables.com. Simply type in the word and find out how many syllables it has. Also for synonyms and antonyms go to thesaurus.com.

The prompts!

Fluffy & Rainbow

Yes, I know the words are a little different than normal. However I promised a friend’s daughter that I would let her choose the words this week. I made the mistake of saying fun and uplifting. So she decided to stick it to me with these. She picked Rage and Flammable last week. Yes she has a very odd sense of humor.

Here are two examples just to give you something to spark the thoughts if need be. This shows you there are possibilities!

#1

The rainbow fell down,

Through the sky not quite of blue,

Dark fluffy clouds cried.

#2

Fluffy roses trim,

The skirt blowing in the wind,

Revealed rainbow scars.

Be sure to put a link to your Haiku in the comments below so we can all go check them out.

I’ll comment and also choose the ones that knock me down for one reason or the other and link back to them in my Weekly Rewind telling people how great they were and why I picked them. Eventually these will turn into categories.

How do I forgive?

ron_ballgame_blackandwhiteI wrote another article today about forgiveness and then had a conversation about can forgiveness be given to those of different ideal than I have, a different faith.

I want to make a few things clear about forgiveness as to how I look at it.

  1. The person we forgive is not the one that benefits from our forgiveness. We are to forgive to help encourage them to move on, but by doing so we also make ourselves better people in the sense of a) giving what we would like to be given, and b) doing what is right. And I do mean that the Bible says to do so.
  2. The Bible says to forgive not so that the other person is a receiver of forgiveness from us, because they do not need it to be who they are, but because we need it.

Yes, I am a Bible believer, but I’m an unusual one. The Bible tells us, Christians, what God, Jesus wants us to be like. Did you know we don’t have to, as Christians, be any of those things in order to receive His gift to us of salvation. A lot of people think that Christians have this indoctrination thing going on. The truth is, most of us learn as we go. I did. No church until my 20s. And we know we can’t be perfect, just seems like others can’t think of that.

But as for forgiving others not like me? A person is not brought into this world with bad on the brain. There are influences and circumstance throughout a person’s life that turns them into what they become. So yes, I forgive and I love. You know we prosecute a  murdering rapist and even possibly execute them. Do we go after the influencers that led him there? No. The act is horrible but the commonality is just as vile s it influences others as we speak.

Does that mean I forgive everyone? Yes, so far. I see the flip side of things .I believe there is more at work in the world than what we see.

Forgiveness by Matthew West

“Forgiveness”

It’s the hardest thing to give away
And the last thing on your mind today
It always goes to those that don’t deserveIt’s the opposite of how you feel
When the pain they caused is just too real
It takes everything you have just to say the word…

Forgiveness
Forgiveness

It flies in the face of all your pride
It moves away the mad inside
It’s always anger’s own worst enemy
Even when the jury and the judge
Say you gotta right to hold a grudge
It’s the whisper in your ear saying ‘Set It Free’

Forgiveness, Forgiveness
Forgiveness, Forgiveness

Show me how to love the unlovable
Show me how to reach the unreachable
Help me now to do the impossible

Forgiveness, Forgiveness

Help me now to do the impossible
Forgiveness

It’ll clear the bitterness away
It can even set a prisoner free
There is no end to what it’s power can do
So, let it go and be amazed
By what you see through eyes of grace
The prisoner that it really frees is you

Forgiveness, Forgiveness
Forgiveness, Forgiveness

Show me how to love the unlovable
Show me how to reach the unreachable
Help me now to do the impossible
Forgiveness

I want to finally set it free
So show me how to see what Your mercy sees
Help me now to give what You gave to me
Forgiveness, Forgiveness

Forgiveness? Can you do it?

Life can be rough. And that’s when people are nice. It really doesn’t help when the unpleasant people get involved in it. I used to work with this lady in a warehouse back when I was in my first years of college. We didn’t really have much to do with one another. As far as my journals say, I’m not even sure if we spoke much. We just didn’t have a reason to.

She was very pretty, seemed nice and sweet.  She never bothered anyone and did her job the best she could. The problem was she was honest. Honesty a problem? It’s put me in tough spots before. But still you need to be honest, right?

It turned out this young lady, actually older than I was at the time, had once been an exotic dancer, a stripper. She had strippergiven up that life to come and work in a warehouse sewing. To me it seemed like she was trying to make her life better. Imagine the amount of money she had been making.

You know we probably all think it’s easy to be a dancer like that and just make money thrown at you. I think it’s probably difficult to get up there and do that knowing there might be some men out there that might get to aggressive either inside the club or outside.

Now you are thinking, “She shouldn’t be dancing like that if she doesn’t want the attention.” I guess being alone, with a baby, and no high school diploma and desperate didn’t have anything to do with her decision. I suppose feeding that innocent baby, the child of a waste of life male sperm donor, didn’t come to her mind as she got up there each time and did what she did. I guess she just liked to dance naked in front of drunk men.

She didn’t last long at the warehouse. She lasted longer naked with drunk men than she did with a group of women sewers.

Once it was discovered what she had done prior to working there it was all down hill and out the door. The men were nice enough. Oddly they just acted normal. We didn’t have a reason to be around her much. I did as I was a jack of all trades. I did everything there was from the point of unloading the boxes of uniforms off the trucks, to the loading the finished uniforms back on the trucks, and yes, that included sewing and embroidery.

I learned a lot there. It was my first real job. The first place I discovered what treating a woman should be like form seeing how badly some of the women were treated.

Psalms 103Jesus_crucifixion

He will not always accuse,
    nor will he harbor his anger forever;
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
    so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

What is David saying here? For our sins to be removed and forgiven there had to be a sacrifice, and that was Him. I know some people get a little confused about the Trinity, but Jesus was an aspect of God, one of the three. And Jesus came to earth to take on our sins because God does not always accuse, or harbor his anger forever, nor does he treat up as our sins deserve.

Jesus says to forgive or we will be judged just as harshly as we didn’t forgive. That’s a paraphrase but that’s what it says. I have a friend who has an interesting past. Although that past is something they don’t deny but instead use to attempt to reach and help others, people use it negatively and for selfish reasons. There is no forgiveness and recognition of what is being done. They simply see the past and live in it instead of seeing the present and seeing what is being done with the past.

Forgiveness. It’s a tough one but not really. I always say that as I believe that we are all God’s creations that we were all MEANT to do good in our lives. But through various things throughout history things have turned out the way they are. A child grows up to be a dictator, but was raised from birth to be one. A woman ends up being a stripper, but wasn’t raised from birth to be one.

Yeah, I am able to see the sin from the sinner. Is it easy? No. Do I like it? No. Does it make my life easier to think that humans aren’t born to be murdering rapists? Yes. If I had to attempt to come up with some psychological answer for every single problem everyone has I would die in moments from overload.

You don’t have to agree with me. I’m good with it. Everyone can be as they like as long as they don’t harm others. If we all did that, we would all be better off.

The title asks can you forgive. You don’ t have to. Forgiveness has already been given. We should just learn to follow a great example.

Much Respect

The Eminent Fall.

It was about to snap, the brittle bound signalling line.

He didn’t know what to do as they all cried out, “Mine, mine, mine.”

The ticktock ticktock kept a measured beat.

Drowned out by their pounding clambering feet.

“No, no,” he cried to as if words would drive them back.

The more he screamed the more they came on the attack.

Did they sense it, the eminent fall?

Like an important phone call?

The twisting made the agony more than imagining.

The is was for real and too much for his handling.

The pulling grew stronger, as the line began to stretch.

What would happen when it snapped, would they catch?

“It’s okay,” they say as they keep telling him their reasons.

What they don’t know is he’s almost out of seasons.

The warnings are there, as he has constantly repeated.

But they never listen, they just want be sweetly greeted.

“Screw you,” he says through his dilapidated mind.

The snap they hear in his voice a shock, a new creature unkind.

“I told you to leave me alone,” he shouts.

All he receives in return are lips . . . all pouts.

“Sorry,” he says and their eyes begin to glow.

He shakes his head. “Your games a no go.

I know what your playin’ and it’s so tired.

So long to you all, it’s over, expired.”

He turns his way and then flips out the light.

One last look back and then he walks out into the night.

He wanders out into a place never before seen.

The streets are paved and the colors a majestic scene.

Finally peace, he thinks as eyebrows raise.

He finds a spot to relax and drifts as tired eyes glaze.

He faintly hears as he slips off into space,

The beautiful sounds . . .  of Amazing Grace.

When the stars go blue.

I just discovered this song while looking for another that I was hoping to share but I didn’t like the lyrics.  This has The Corrs and Bono together. His soulful voice and their lead singer’s clear tones are beautiful together. You would swear they were lovers how they flow so well together. Bono can sing with anyone, but this was a beautiful experience and I wanted to share it with you. The music already has me thinking of words to put to it, so don’t be surprised if you see another lyric poem in the future referenced back to this music.

Dancin’ where the stars go blue
Dancin’ where the evenin’ fell
Dancin’ in your wooden shoes
In a wedding gown

Dancin’ out on 7th street
Dancin’ through the underground
Dancin’ little marionette
Are you happy now?

Where do you go when you’re lonely?
Where do you go when you’re blue?
Where do you go when you’re lonely?
I’ll follow you

When the stars go blue, blue
When the stars go blue, blue
When the stars go blue, blue
When the stars go blue

Laughing with your pretty mouth
Laughing with your broken eyes
Laughing with your lover’s tongue
In a lullaby

Where do you go when you’re lonely?
Where do you go when you’re blue?
Where do you go when you’re lonely?
I’ll follow you

When the stars go blue, blue
When the stars go blue
When the stars, when the stars go blue
When the stars go blue

When the stars go blue, blue
Stars go blue
When the stars go blue

Where do you go when you’re lonely?
Where do you go when you’re blue? Yeah
Where do you go when you’re lonely?
I’ll follow you

I’ll follow you, I’ll follow you
I’ll follow you, I’ll follow you, yeah yeah

Where do you go? Where do you go?
Where do you go? Where do you go?
